Hip belt webbing broke

When I received the product, I checked all the compartments and pieces to make sure everything is fine and the first time that pulled the hip belt the webbing piece broke, so now I have to remplace it with a generic one.

I had never purchased or used a hydration backpack before using the Hydra Hike 4L. I liked the size of the pack and it’s was comfortable to wear. This is very nice for any day biking activity and hoping to use it for my hikes too.
Not built the same!!

I’ve had a high Sierra Hydration Pack for a long time 10+ years. As expected my original bag fell apart with lots of use. So I ordered the same bag but 10+ years newer. The new bag is so flimsy and weak. The construction is poor and every feature is much cheaper and less sturdy. I’m extremely disappointed with the new High Sierra bag quality. It’s obvious quantities has surpassed qualities.

This the second Hydrahike 8L pack I have purchased. I live in two places throughout the year, Northern California and Northwest Washington. Now I have one in both places.

I like this a lot, works great! I’ve had another hydro pack from this company for years and loved it. The water reservoir is 2L, which is what it says in the description. The bottom straps are a little tricky to loosen. And it’s a little tricky to close the water reservoir without getting water everywhere.
Terrible quality

Tried it on and the snap attachment in front tore off . I needed it so I sewed it up myself but cannot believe how cheaply made this is.
Hydra Hike 4L

I had never purchased or used a hydration backpack before using the Hydra Hike 4L on my recent trip to Utah. I liked the size of the pack and it’s was comfortable to wear. The space to carry stuff is quite small, but adequate for most day hikes. My only issue is that the actual reservoir is 2L vs the 4L indicated. Not sure if I missed something in the details when I purchased, but I would have preferred a 4L reservoir.

Very good except water bladder
4 out of 5 stars

The pack is nice and lightweight, sits well on my back and shoulders. The bladder was a disappointment with a small filling hole, smelly plastic, and very strange connection to the hose - cumbersome at best, prone to problems at worst. I had to substitute another bladder. Part of the disappointment was that my friend’s several-year-old, similar design High Sierra pack has a slide top bladder that looked much superior.
Nice pack, but leaking bite valve

Pros: The pack is good - small and light. Chest and waist straps keep it from bouncing around (I use it while biking). Cons: Bite valve leaks badly. My older High Sierra's valve lasted several years before going bad. Seems the quality went down.
