About the Author
Bizeck Jube Phiri is professor of history, founding chief editor of the Journal of Humanities (UNZA), Member of New Contre Journal (South Africa) and is on the Advisory Board of the Journal of Southern African Studies (JSAS). He has published several books and journal articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Most importantly he has taught at the University of Zambia for thirty-nine years and is therefore well acquainted with the developments that have taken place at UNZA.
Thokozile Shaba is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Historical and Archaeological Studies at the University of Zambia. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on politics and political violence in Zambia.
