Q: Is there a button to shut off the lights for nighttime use?
A: Bought this purifier a month ago & switch to turn off for sleep turns on the blue light not off!

submitted byHolmes Brand Team - 2 years agoBrand expertA: No, you cannot turn off all of the lights. The night mode setting only turns off the blue light surrounding the control panel. It does not turn off the lights on the buttons.

Q: Air Ionizers May Produce Ozone. The FDA requires manufacturers to label their products if they may generate more than 50 ppb of ozone. Explain this in regards to the Holmes 360 True HEPA unit here.

However, in high concentrations, ozone can be harmful to birds and small pets. To prevent ozone buildup, we suggest using the ionizer in well ventilated areas with the fan on. Q: Can I vacuum off the filter? Mine gets blanketed with dust and dander in about two months, easily.

Upon checking, the filter for Holmes 360 True HEPA Air purifier should be replaced once it is full of dust and pet dander. Q: My air purifier stopped turning on the other day. It's 1 year old and the filter is replaced every 9 months. Is there a reset button? What can I do?

Q: how well does this work for cigarette smoke

Q: Are filters still being made? From the Holmes website; Target is the only store listed for "where to buy" filters for this model. However Target does not show any available!

Q: Is this unit safe to run in the same room as parrots?
A: Hi Nan! Thank you for contacting Holmes. We hope you are healthy and staying safe. I understand that you want to know if the air purifier is safe to run in the same room as parrots. We are more than happy to assist. Upon checking the specific unit model you are referring has an optional air ionizer that helps to bind negative ions to airborne smoke, dust, and pollen, forming larger particles that are easily captured, helping to clean air more thoroughly. However, at the present time, ionizers are not recommended for use in bird households. We suggest for your not to use the ionizer option so that you can still use the air purifier while you and your parrots are in the same room.
