Honey-Can-Do 2 Tier Shoe Storage Bench Walnut: Shoe Rack Bench, Holds 8 Pairs, Ground Freestanding, Particle Board Frame

See the photos. I opened this from the side. Assembly was easy. There were only 5 parts (including the provided tool). 4 quality control issues I noticed with my unit: 1. One of the boards were attached wrong, making it impossible for me to secure one of the levels with 4 screws. The slant is clearly visible in 2 of the photos. 2. There were 2 scratch marks across one of the boards. That should be apparent in the last photo. You can see from the first photo that I opened the box from the side. My scissors did not make those scratches. 3. There were loose parts inside of the metal frames. I could hear them as I moved the metal frame around, but I could not get the pieces to fall out of the screw holes. 4. The undersides of the wooden parts are in worse shape, but nobody will ever see them so it’s fine. As the assembler though, you will know this truth and its imperfection will gnaw at your mind forever.

I got the Honey-Can-Do 2-tier entryway shoe bench in walnut color. The bench is a great addition to my garage entry hallway. I often find myself picking up shoes & bags all over our entry - with the addition of the shoe bench - things get more concentrated where they are left - ok, where they can be found in the morning. The make is simple but sturdy, and beautiful. The design is neutral and can adapt to existing home decor. I am very satisfied with the shoe bench.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this bench to add shoe storage and a place to sit and put shoes on in my walk in closet. I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality of this bench. The wood planks are gorgeous and look like real wood with a subtle texture, not fake or too awkwardly uniform. It is so nice in fact that I almost put it in my entryway instead of the closet, but my closet deserves nice things, too. It was very easy to put together. The hardest part was getting the side pieces connected to the shelves. I loosely fit the bolts with the bench laying on its side, then stood it upright to tighten everything down. It feels very solid to sit on, and my 8 year old likes to jump off it, sigh, but it stands up to that as well. There is plenty of room for shoes on the lower shelf. I added two bins for holding flip flops and sneakers, and there's enough room for a pair of boots to stand on the shelf as well. Very nice and I'm sure we'll enjoy it for years to come, whether tucked in the closet or front and center in the entry.

I absolutely love the simplicity of the style and it fits in perfect with my minimalist decor. It was really easy to assemble and only took me about 15 minutes. It seems very sturdy and high quality construction and well worth the value. We use the top shelf to put our bags and to sit on it when we put on our shoes. Additionally, we can fit about 4 pairs of shoes on the bottom at any given time which is perfect for each of us. Overall I would definitely recommend!
