A: Vehicles that work best on Hot Wheels Track Sets are regular 1:64 scale sports cars or sedans. Some playsets are themed and have a 5-pack of 1:64 cars sold separately that are meant to go with the set.

A: It's hilarious that Fisher-Price Customer Care is incorrect. It DOES require batteries. I have the set, and it says it clearly on the box in the sample artwork.

The track is easy enough to assemble, but the cars don’t go fast enough to get around the corner that has the mushroom buttons. It’s like it needs another motor instead of the push buttons. You have to reset the car and track every time so it’s not much of a race.

My son was so excited to receive this as a gift. Unfortunately he can barely use it as the track pieces don’t stay together. They come apart in one section and so the cars always fall off the track constantly. The button that’s supposed to act as the green turtle shell barely pushes cars out as well. Really unfortunate since this wasn’t cheap!

Even one car going around can't finish the race option. No matter how we weigh down the loops, they still move too much and the cars fall off. Otherwise, they had off before the loops because the ends of those pieces bend inwards due to how far they're bent. Would have preferred a more flat design that actually worked over the upside down loops.

Don’t do it. It’s cheap the track is bent and the cars have a hard time going around the loop. One of the buttons are stuck already.

Terrible. The carts can’t make it around 1-2 laps before falling off on brand new expensive batteries. Definitely don’t buy this.

We ended up returning it. It worked ok for a minute or so, as long as you only put one car, and then the car would come flying off the track. If you tried 2 cars at once, forget it. My 4yo just got frustrated and asked to bring it back to target.

Bought this for our grandkids thinking it would it would be fun for them when they come to our house. After assembly could not get the cars to go around the track. The cars that came with the track fall off in the large loop if they even make it that far. We bought a few replacement cars and that work with the blue track but not the red. Everything is assembled correctly but no matter what we try cars will not go around the red track. They either fall off in the shoret loop or long loop. Turns this was a waste of money

I bought this for my 6 year old autistic son for Christmas. The Mario kart track set isn't steady enough for cars to go at the same time. With new batteries the cars will not go around the track at its largest track you can build. The gray tracks are distorted and bent because of the poor design. The extra car sets that you sell as cars for this track are not made for this track. They are too heavy and when any of the cars fall off of the track, their heads break off. This makes me feel like a failure to my autistic son because he has a hard time with the manual tracks, so I thought he would enjoy this. He did enjoy it for 3 weeks. This is shameful to see people like this taking advantage of parents and more importantly the children.

Motor would not work. I opened it up and found that the black wire was not soldered to the battery port. We may try soldering it, or maybe just return it.

I got these for my son who turned 7 and was so dang frustrated that he asked me to put it back in the box and return! Let me tell you why; 1. The push/lounge button does not push ahrd enough to reach the motor part that gets the cart moving. 2. These carts keep flying out of track which is so frustrating and you have to keep putting them back on track which again defeats the concept of “race” 3. Even if one of the carts do mange to cross the flag part, one of the other flags refuses to go down which blocks the cart from moving forward. What a waste! I got it yesterday and it was enough for my 7 year to say no, returning it today.

I (well, Santa) got this for my kids for Christmas this year and they love it! The set up was a bit of a challenge for me, but I don’t have a lot of experience setting these tracks up since my partner usually does it. I did figure it out eventually! Worth the work and my kids enjoy playing with this track!
