Q: How can we get rid of the smell and bad taste? We’ve had these for a few months and have washed them often. I was hoping the bad taste and smell would get better with washing and use but it hasn’t. Is there anyway to resolve this?

A: The Houdini Ice Tray was designed to make larger ice cubes for drinks. No, We would not recommend oven use. Silicone is quite temperature resistant, but the material is quite thin on the inside edges. If you have additional questions, please reach back out. Thanks!

Q: is this actually 2x2x2? the bottom of the tray seems to be slightly angled? can someone please confirm?

A: Ice Cubes are 2" x 2". Height is approximately 1.75". The bottom edge is slightly angled so the bottom part of the ice would be slightly less than 2".

Q: Is this made of 100% silicone? I need to know because it picks up smells and make the ice taste weird after a while, but you can get rid of this by putting it in a 350 oven for 20 minutes.

I wanted to love these. The size of the large cubes is great but they creates a white residue inside the trays,the water and cup. It makes the water taste like chemicals. We can't use these. I purcased 4 of these & I am throwing them away.

I bought this despite the others reporting the white powdery exudate on the sides of the silicon. Upon arrival, I washed this both by hand and in dishwasher. Used a time or two, and saw the sides of the silicon would still have some white powdery, and wiped it clean before using. But the final straw was finding white powder floating at the top of my drink despite all these washing efforts over the last two months! Too late to return it for me: I am throwing these away. Do not buy, to save yourself the aggravation. 1-star should be zero-stars, if I had the option.

Good value for the price but I don’t use these often because there isn’t a lid. I’ll mostly use this in addition to other ice molds when I need to make large batches Would recommend the peak large ice molds over this because they don’t cost that much more and the lid makes it so much more practical for the freezer
