Bought this laptop for my son for school. It is quite slow compared to the Ipad he was previously using, which he finds frustrating; but it is doing everything he needs it to do. Need to charge it every second day.

I should have researched better. I am dissapointed with this model because it doesn't have some of the features of my previous HP that I assumed wouldhave been generic. It is a good basic computer, but my main dissapointments are: It doesn’t have backlit keys. It appeared wedded to Microsoft and it was very difficult to opt out or avoid Microsoft bullying.

Service, setup and performance were all beyond my expectations. Well done HP, I have used HP through DOS,Windows 3.1, win 95, 98, NT, XP, 7, 10 now windows 11.

Screen panel type has limited viewing angles vertically. But not from the sides (horizontally). It is like the screen panel material was installed turned 90 degrees when cut to size. So I returned it. Also did not like the No-Backlit keyboard with very thin white font on black keys. Hard to see in dark rooms but guess they all are going to be like this. If I kept it I would place bold front stickers on the keys.

Had it for a couple of days. It ran okay, fast and smoothly. I returned it however because I wasn't happy with the screen's vertical viewing angles that varied enormously with just a few degrees of tilt. Even looking at it head on from just a few feet away the top and bottom had noticeably different contrast and saturation.
I’m very happy about the laptop , it’s perfect for my son’s homeschool! Delivered in time to!
