Fast similar to a more expensive model
I bought a more expensive HP model, but I wanted one that would be simple yet fast for my elderly mom. She is enjoying the quickness of start-up and processing compared with her previous laptop (the new one is competitive with my recent purchase). What's amazing is she can converse with co-pilot with a dedicated key. This is really helping her cognitive skills without a big expense.

Fan chronically on
The fan turns on during low load tasks like browsing. Used to be more frequent during the first few days so maybe it is a software issue but it is annoying and makes it seem like the machine is struggling Didn't get a backpack with it and FYI the product does not come with a fingerprint reader.

Beware of Setup and File Transfer
The PC seems to be as advertised but setup has been fraught with difficulty. this is probably not HP's issue but the conflicts between Windows, Google and Microsoft for control of the online environment.
