Snapdragon laptop punt proves great for battery work time but comes with BIOS time issues
This laptop is excellent for battery life and generally works well with most Office / Adobie apps I use along simple games. I have found the AI engagement has been quick and useful even when running several apps the processor remains cool and the fan hardly ever kicks in compaired to my old Intel I5 laptop. The HP physical build and erganomices are to the expected high standard. Its still fairly early days for my Snapdragon laptop and the experience is not without some irritations. The irritations: 1. The bios clock is set to USA CET and no matter how many times I change it the BIOS will not save the change. This means on boot, opening up the pc etc the clock is wrong and you have to wait for Mircrosoft to sync with the internet for the time to alter to GMT. I have got used to this for general use but for offline work its an issue . I have to manually change the time before saving documents that occasionally require version histories, if you forget sometime the time and date will be 8 hours ahead which I have found can cause issues with change histories on documents. 2. I have had to revet to Outlook old version as the new preinstalled version kept refusing to selete emails or remove emails to the recycle bin. so you delete 20 emails and then next time you start outlook they would return as new emails. After 3 reinstalls of new outlook over a couple of weeks I gave up and installed the old outlook format and have had no issues since. Overall the laptop was purchased on the battery duration requirement and cooler running, for general home and small business use. Once you get past the time issues that may will go away after HP do some future BIOS updates it is a great tool.

Thank you for your detailed feedback on the HP OmniBook 5, Chris! We're delighted that the OmniBook 5 with the Snapdragon X Plus is delivering the cool, quiet, and efficient performance you expected. We hear you on the frustration regarding the BIOS time sync and Outlook. Please ensure your device is running the latest firmware via HP Support Assistant, as we frequently release updates to refine system clock synchronization on this new architecture. You can also verify that "Set time zone automatically" is toggled on in your Windows settings and click "Sync now" to force a handshake between the OS and the hardware. If the issue persists after these steps, we encourage you to reach out to HP Support so we can perform a quick diagnostic and ensure your internal clock is performing to our high standards as well as application synchronization. Thank you for choosing HP! 💙

Georgous OLED screen, good battery life, Snap Dragon handles multi-tasks well
I have had good experiences with HP laptops - and this one is no exception. Keyboard has a good feel, and 2 level backlight. Touch pad is very spacious, and also is responsive. The screen is a brilliant OLED, so colors really pop - great for streaming. Don't let the 300 nits spec fool you - it is plenty bright for indoor use. The Snap Dragon processor requires less power, so even though it is a 16 inch display, I expect to get 8 hours or more with just the usual internet, videos, etc. Of course, will depend on screen brightness, and processing demands. The processor handles multiple tasks well, and doesn't seem to slow down. I do recommend getting rid of all the extra "junk" that comes preinstalled. This would definitely benefit from either a 1Tb SSD, or a micro SD slot for additional storage. At full price it is a little pricey but still a good buy, and if you catch it on sale, it is a steal.....

Nice Laptop with 2k screen
The laptop is well built. Performance is good. Screen is amazing. The only minor issue is it shows the battery as percentage and not in hours.
1 reply from HP Customer Experience team - 2 months ago
Hi Vakar, thank you for the 5-star review! On the OmniBook 5, battery percentage is typically found on the Windows 11 taskbar, while estimated time remaining can be viewed under Settings > System > Power & battery. This display is managed by Windows rather than the hardware, but we appreciate your feedback on how you track your usage.

Great value for money and a work horse
Laptop is very fast and the best for multi tasking. I would say this laptop has the best battery power in the industry. After using all day using this for patient documentation, I had 72% left. I can literally go 2 days without charging. I wouldn't choose this for a slim laptop. GREAT BUY

Keyboard lighting is inadequate.
Keyboard light does not illuminate the character on the key. I returned the laptop.
1 reply from HP Customer Experience team - 3 months ago
Hi Otto, we’re sorry to hear the keyboard visibility led to a return, as the OmniBook 5 does include a backlit keyboard (typically activated via the F5 key) to help in low-light settings. We understand how important clear key visibility is for your workflow and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

1 reply from HP Customer Experience team - 2 months ago
Hi Chris! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that the facial recognition hasn't been satisfactory, as we want your experience with your new machine to be as seamless as possible. You might find that re-recording your face in a different lighting environment helps the sensor recognize you more consistently. In the meantime, we are glad you have the option for a quick PIN or password log-in to get you back to your work. We appreciate you choosing HP!

5-Star Review: HP OmniBook 5 16" Next Gen AI Lapto
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m genuinely impressed with the new HP OmniBook 5 16" Next Gen AI Laptop. The combination of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor and AI-powered performance makes it fast, smooth, and incredibly efficient — perfect for multitasking and daily productivity. The 16" OLED display is absolutely stunning: vibrant colours, deep blacks, and a sharp 2K resolution that makes streaming, photo editing, and general work a pleasure. Battery life is another standout — it easily lasts all day and charges super quickly when needed. It’s beautifully designed, lightweight for its size, and runs whisper-quiet even with multiple apps open. I also love the modern AI features and Copilot integration, which make everything feel smarter and more responsive. Overall, the HP OmniBook 5 offers a perfect balance of power, portability, and premium build quality — a fantastic next-generation laptop for work, entertainment, or travel. Highly recommended!

Slim, crystal clear screen, fast start up, long ba
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just wanted to share how pleased I am with the HP | Qualcomm Omnibook 5. At first I was unsure about it's performance because of the Snapdragon ® X processor but I needn't have worried. The amazing speed it turns on and then logs you in using the eye retina feature to open your user account instead of putting a password in is phenomenal, programmes open up fast too. The crystal clear 16in screen is plenty big enough, the whole laptop is so thin and light, and the battery lasts for ages, I'd been using it for 2 hours and it had hardly gone down. Oh and I nearly forgot to tell you that the price is very reasonable and affordable. Well that just about wraps up my review, I would highly recommend.

Phenomenal is exactly the word we’re going for! 💙 It’s brilliant to hear that any worries about the Snapdragon® X processor vanished the moment you powered it on. We’re thrilled that the eye retina login and the speed of your programmes are making such an impression. It sounds like the combination of that 16-inch screen and the 'lasts for ages' battery is exactly what you needed. Cheers!

Slim, lightweight and quick
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I cannot find a negative point about this laptop. It is very sleek, around the size of my thumbnail which makes portability easy. It is very light. The battery lasts for ages, even if it is on standby and it is not turned off. Charging time is quick and easy with the supplied power cord. Really like the eye retina scanning to unlock the laptop. Camera can be easily switched on or off by sliding the camera at the top. It is quick and easy to use. Keys light up for good accessibility. A great laptop so far.

It's also great to know the battery and quick charging are keeping up with your pace. Features like the physical camera slider and backlit keys really do make a difference for everyday use, Cheers!
