Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Don’t have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Standing with feet together and back to a wall. Measure from floor to the top of the head.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Save your money and buy sleep sacks that clearly have a lowered neck line/zipper. These are nice but our 15 lb 3 month old won't comfortably fit them for long because of the high, small neck line. We will likely get a month out of these max. It's a shame too because they are cute and soft overall.

These sleep sacks are huge but they shrink like crazy the first time you wash them. They work great and my son has been using them since he was 5mths. He’s now 15mths and I just washed the 12-18mth size for him to start using. These hold up better than others and the fabric feels better than some other options. For comparison, Carters pill too much and Aden and Anais have faulty zippers.

Good quality but the sleep sack is HUGE. I ordered based off the sizing chart and the sleep sack are way to big. Needs to have an accurate sizing guide so people don’t waste their money on the wrong size.
