[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was such a hit for a long weekend at home with the teenagers! We are all huge true crime fans and the thrill of solving our own case was so fun and working together as a family to solve it was a great time indeed.
Not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. It sucked in my opinion as someone who has never played one of these games. I could not solve it and the website with hints was not working. You can only play it once. Seems like a waste
Best mystery game

Such a fun game to play for date night. Loved the mystery aspect and all the clues that have to be solved. Way more interactive and fun than other cold case/mystery games.
A great activity for game night. Entertaining and

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a such a fun and immersive activity for game night or even a date night! The storyline is complex and engaging and the clues are very detailed. Everything in the box is well made and ready for any player, or group to jump right in. Not much replay value once you’ve solved the case or revealed the solution though. And too bad my kids are still too young for these themes.
Fun game for friends and family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This murder mystery game has some really cool aspects but also some frustrating issues. The concept is interesting and the evidence feels realistic with detailed police reports, photos, and other materials that make you feel like a detective. The mental engagement is probably the game’s biggest strength (for me). It keeps you completely absorbed for 2-3+ hours of gameplay. I found myself staying off my phone naturally since I was focused on piecing together clues. It’s a refreshing change from typical Friday night TV / movie watching. Playing with others makes it more enjoyable (though you can play on your own too). Here is what I found frustrating: i had to rewrite the instructions in simpler terms just to understand how to start, which turned into procrastination. Also, the website for additional clues shows error messages which is an inconvenience for solving certain puzzles. The puzzle design gets repetitive after the initial novelty wears off and clues also rely on knowledge or connections that aren’t as universal as the creators assumed. Like most mystery games, replayability is basically zero once you know the solution, so keep that in mind if you are wanting to get multiple uses out of this. If you decide to try it, read through all instructions first, organize your evidence from the start, and try the main Hunt A Killer website if the provided links don’t work. It’s a decent experience when everything works, but the barriers to entry and technical issues make it hard to recommend without reservations
Wish we could pass it along!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was great!! We took a family vacation with 6 people 30+ and it made for an awesome game night. If you like escape rooms, please try this out. The writing was very clever. We found it to be of great value, and found unboxing it like being revealed clues in an actual mystery. Wish we could repackage it and pass it along, so giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it does seem like a lot of packaging just to be used once.
Fun and mysterious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exciting and mysterious game. I love problem solving and playing detectives so this game has been wonderful to me. It has two cases that you can solve in one go or divide them up for different occasions. I played it alone but would be fun if there’s multiple people playing as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this game is fun. I think? Honestly, it’s a little overwhelming with all the different rules and paperwork. The parts that my party and I completed were fun, but it was too long winded to be completed in full. If you ever watched The Big Bang Theory, it’s a type of game that Raj would approve.
Exciting, clever, immersive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently played Hunt A Killer: Game Night Gone Wrong with a few friends, and we had an absolute blast! The story was gripping from the start, and the clues were really clever—just the right balance of challenging and fun. We felt like real detectives trying to solve the case together. It was incredibly immersive and perfect for a game night that’s a little different. Highly recommend if you love murder mysteries or just want to try something unique and collaborative. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hunt a Killer- Game Night Gone Wrong was going good until my wife and I realized that the QR code to go to the website for the game had a 404 error code and was not accessible. I do not recommend this because the game is unsolvable without the digital aspect. We read all the reports, which was daunting to say the least; figured out how to open the lock box, and were stumped without the remaining clue. We did not open the answer envelope because we did not want to spoil it. There should be more pictures/photo evidence (like some of the other Hunt a Killer games). I emailed the team to see if they could get the website up, but I did not get a response. Sad.
Fun one off game night but not great for long term

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All the pieces included in the box were all very detailed on making the experience real. My friends and I had a great time playing it together to solve the who done it (we did make the correct accusation fairly early and just used further found evidence to back it up/narrow). That being said given that it is a one time play game for a group we didn't see it as the best value for our money as there are plenty of games we can purchase and get multiple uses out of it. Overall the experience was fun but its a very one off game to play and maybe pass on to others you know so you get use out of it.
Very complex..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packing was great and I think that someone who likes complex games would love this, but as for me and my family we like a old traditional board game and this just was not it. You have to use your phone to play the game and we didn’t enjoy that too much. I didn’t realize that beforehand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an avid mystery solver and have played other games from “Hunt a Killer” but this one was a large disappointment. As if playing murder mystery game inside of a murder mystery game wasn’t tough enough, the link for additional clues and hints was a dead end-it didn’t work and the error message stated the domain wasn’t found. For a company as prominent as “Hunt a Killer”, I would have expected better”

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s was ok. I mean it seems interesting but it really does need a little bit more instructions. It seems very well made and seems like it could be cool but we tried to play it for almost 5 hours… and got almost no where! Because we didn’t know where to start or what was next and didn’t know what the cards were for… it was a mess.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great game... lots of great story. Great evidence and timeline. This is a pretty fun mystery game, one of the best I've seen. The puzzles are pretty good and the crime/criminal/victims mostly make sense. The folders, files and evidence all seem realistic. There's a lot of material in the box, each of the four sections is good for a session.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such an interesting and entertaining game. This isn’t your sit down quick game usually takes about an hour an hour and a half to get throughout the game. It really stimulates your brain and makes you think it is such a incredible thrillseeking game.
