Inclusive and whimsical, a children's library must have
This book has received a lot of criticism for its supposed "left-leaning ideologies" and I'm going to summarize it by saying that if you are bothered by the concept of a child having two dads or kids being able to read books in a library, then sure--this book won't be for you. But if you value inclusivity, free thinking, and representation of marginalized groups, this book is a must. It is beautifully written and illustrated and I read it proudly to my children who will grow up knowing that everyone deserves to be included and represented.
