Impossible Burger Plant Based Patties - 8oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging was fine and sealed well, but the texture was not good in my opinion or my partners. Not big on processed meat or vegan meat but we thought we would try this and did not finish more than two bites each due to the off taste, there was a few different recipes and instructions online we just went with the easiest one.

I placed an order for pickup with veggie burgers and beef strips. When I arrived to pick up my order, the associate (Jamal) questioned the bag order with the aforementioned items. He stated he wanted to be respectful but there was an odd smell coming from that bag and he wanted to ensure I didn't leave with rotten food. I looked in the bag and the smell that came from the bag....goodness... I cannot imagine why anyone who packed the order could in GOOD FAITH give that to someone. Thank goodness for associates like Jamal. He ensured my next Target order because if I had been sent home with that rotten meat, that would have been my last straw with Target. Thanks Jamal. We appreciate associate like YOU!!!!

Make from plants but taste like meat and looks like it! Don’t be blinded people BILL GATES AND HIS WAY OF BRINGING ARTIFICIAL FOOD INTO OUR BODIES IS DISGUSTING ! This isn’t healthy it’s not good for youre body the way they make this crap out of powders and different liquids no body should be eating this meat anything PLANT BASED IS SLUDGE !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These burgers are pretty good, they cook up just like other real meat or faux meat. They are good with standard lettuce, onions, pickles combo. Perfect for a simple meal and allows you to feel less heavy after it.

I’m a person that overall doesn’t eat that much meat just because it’s not really something I really like so when there is a meat substitute, I always down to try it out cooking the burger was really easy. I love the packaging. You could open one and the other one still stays intact. Cooks in less than 5-10 minutes. Looks like a burger you bite down to it. It feels like a burger, but the taste is not there. It feels like it’s trying so hard to taste like meat that it basically just turns you off from the overall flavor overall will still be looking for that non-meat meat taste.

With enough toppings and sauce you would not be able to tell this was plant based. But if you were eating it plain or with minimal toppings I can see how the taste and texture would be off.

I cooked them on the grill -added a little salt, lettuce and tomato. They are plant based but I could not really taste much of a difference. My husband loved the burger. The texture did not look much different from regular chop meat. I think adding some seasoning made a great burger and a healthy choice if you are not a big meat lover.

I opted to cook wrapped in foil in the oven with onions this may have impacted the overall all texture as it was my least favorite part of the meal. It was pretty bland (I did season it). It looks like a burger, but the taste is off. It's not something I would purchase again personally, but I can see why vegans like it. I'm keto, so it wasn't worth the carb count 4 per serving. I ended up added bacon and melted cheese to finish it 😬
