Description
Impossible Burgers are amazing. Especially when someone else has kindly made the patties for you, so you can toss them right on the grill or in a pan, grab a bun, some toppings and announce, “It’s hot & juicy beef o’clock!” Or something way cooler than that. 70% of beef eaters said Impossible Beef made from plants tastes as good as or better than the animal version.* But you should really just try one for yourself. Look for fresh 2-packs in the refrigerator case or just hit Add to Cart! (*Aug & Dec 2021 in-home use tests with 259 US consumers).

Why make your veggie brand bleed like beef?!

Don’t appreciate how it bleeds like cooking beef, why would they make that? Beef does that because of a vein that cows have and the iron in their blood! I don’t even know how they make it happen. It’s suspicious to me.

It sounds like you're describing heme, an ingredient in Impossible Burger Patties that is red in color and is largely responsible for our burgers' meaty flavor. Although heme may sound unfamiliar, it’s found in all living things--including animal meat as well as plants. Our heme is derived from soy root nodules and fermented yeast. More information about heme can be found on our website, and don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions!

I love the impossible brand. However the price isn’t it. $7 for two patties and it’s not real beef is insane.

I was stoked to see these in stock right before the long weekend. I grabbed a pack with an expiration date of about a week away. When I went to cook them, they smelled disgusting, absolutely “off” before I barely even had the package opened. Not wanting to risk food poisoning, i immediately threw them in the compost. What a waste! What a disappointment!

I used to like this product but I'm concerned about the B1 level listed above. I hope that's a mistake.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! It's important to clarify that Impossible™ Beef Meat From Plants currently has 40% of the recommended daily value of Thiamine (Vitamin B1). Our team is working to make sure this is reflected on all online resources, and in the meantime, you can reference our website or the nutrition facts panel on the package of the product you purchase.

Terrible. I used it by making it into tacos. Usable that way. Beyond burgers are 1,000x better! Please bring back Beyond meat!
Whether Beyond or Impossible, both are heavy going

I like meat alternatives when they are healthy and enjoyable, but both of these brand's products are very dense and difficult to digest. They taste great, but you feel them in your gut, and they stick around for awhile. The other less-real veggie burgers from Lightlife, Morningstar, or Gardein don't have these issues despite not replicating the beef tatse or texture that Impossible or Beyond do. If faced with either Beyond or Impossible, I now have to say I'd sooner have a real beef burger.

I only bought this because they didn’t have the brand I usually buy. I had high hopes for this, but it honestly had a rubbery taste along with a displeasing smell:(

I am an old school veggie who would die happy with black bean burgers. But if you're a beef lover trying to make more compassionate choices I highly recommend this burger!!

This is probably the best plant burger I've had. I only ate one of them. I gave the other one to the wife, I liked it more than her. One of our concerns is how easily digestible is this plant burger? I have other concerns but I'd rather ask impossible meats in private if possible.
Bring these back why did you discontinue them at some target?

The four star rating is from my vegetarian granddaughter. She said it would have to be actual meat for five stars. LOL. It fills that niche for her. I always keep a package of these patties in the freezer because they’re versatile enough to grill as patties or to crumble up, brown and mix into any dish that calls for hamburger when she comes for dinner. I don’t tell the others and they don’t know the difference. Personally I don’t care for the appearance or the smell of any of the impossible meat products but that’s my bias as a non-vegetarian.
Dont buy!

Would rate 0 stars if I could!! Got a package from Target that said it was good until August of 2024. About 2 days after I purchased them, I opened them in preparation to make them, and that was a MISTAKE!!! It literally smelled like someone had a stomach bug and went #2 all day. My whole house STUNK! From the previous reviews, I was thinking there’d be a slight smell, but not that!! I believe that Target didn’t store it properly and made it go bad (hopefully that’s why). I didn’t want to bag it up for a return and be around that “stink” any longer, just wanted it out of my house, so I’m out of nearly $6.
