A: HI, the diameter of the base is 3.94 inches. It is 270° rotation, cannot be adjusted to be completely vertical.

Works great. Easy to adjust. Holds my phone or my iPad mini very well as I work with my laptop at my desk. The opening at the bottom allows for charging during use and the angle adjustment allows for viewing customization. Good value for the price
