About the Author



Dr. Adhiguna Mahendra currently serves as Director of AI and Data at Nusantara Capital City Authority, spearheading the development of AI and Smart Systems for the capital city. Previously, he was with Nodeflux as Chief of AI, developing a complex Video Analytics deep learning platform and its operationalization (MLOps). He obtained his M.S. degree in Computer Vision and Robotics from the University of Heriot-Watt, U.K. 2008 and his Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Computer Vision from the Universite de Dijon, France, in 2012. He serves as a lecturer at Swiss German University and Central Queensland University. Adhiguna is also the founder of SmartX Academy, a leading Smart Systems school in Indonesia teaching IoT and Video Analytics as well as the founder of the AI Business Institute, an online platform offering courses in Deep Learning and AI Product Management. He is the author of many journal articles with publications with publications in platforms such as AVSS, SPIE, ICME, ICODSE, and IEEE.


Ekki Rinaldi is an AI and IoT Consultant at Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara, a national-level project to move Indonesia's capital from Jakarta to Kalimantan. With 7 years' experience in building AI and Blockchain products, his contributions include providing security for international events (G20, ASIAN Games 2018, IMF Bali 2018), helping the national government enforce laws, and helping enterprises reduce cost and gain revenue by implementing techniques using computer vision. He holds a master's degree in computer science from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
