Great phone -- great deal on trade in.
I love the phone, great improvements over the 13 Pro I turned in. The camera is phenomenal! Although I received the full credit for the trade in, the evaluation is very suspect. The back of the phone was cracked with a clear plastic cover from an incident in Washington DC where the screen was replaced at the Apple Store. The report indicated:Screen is not working - Screen has Major Burn-in/Bruising. (how is that possible when I followed the 'scrub' process before returning the phone?? There was not even a scratch on the screen) Your vendor is suspect.

Keep your old phone
I traded in my iPhone 14 Pro for the 17 Pro, and I’m sorely disappointed. This has been the most frustrating phone I’ve ever owned—not because of the technology, but because it’s so buggy. It took three attempts just to transfer my data, and now that it’s finally done, I can’t get CarPlay or my headphones to stay connected. I’m really hoping Apple releases some software updates soon to fix all these issues.

Battery doesn’t make it through a full day with moderate use. Camera is improved, and it’s otherwise a decent phone, but I expected a better performing battery.

This can extend battery life by 15-20% during heavy usage. 2.Charge Limit: Set a charging cap (e.g., 90%) to reduce wear on the battery and extend its lifespan. Not that spectacular.
Upgraded from an Iphone 13. Yes, the camera is better, but at 8x zoom, there is quality loss that seems to not make it worth it. Many apps that my 13 supported are not supported by the 17. Battery life is longer, but the 13 was 4 years old, so it is comparable. I like the Satellite text feature, but it is very clunky and cumbersome. Overall, not worth upgrading unless you are getting a "get it free" deal
