The directions on the package say to mix with water, but I definitely recommend adding the powder to a smoothie/yogurt bowl instead if you’re picky about the flavor and texture of protein powders like me. I like that it isn’t overly sweet - smoothies still taste natural and fresh with it blended in! I could definitely see myself repurchasing in the future.

I personally like to make bars with oatmeal, bananas, and raspberries. It's nice because there's zero carbs and lots of protein. I was an Isopure fan for years but the new formula tastes like garbage. Bad smell opening the can, terrible salty aftertaste that wasn’t there before, and the shake stays gritty and won’t dissolve. Company needs to go back to the old formula.

Compared to the grey bottle formula the latest version does not taste as as good. It tastes as if it was sweetened with Equal (Aspartame and acesulfame potassium). Compared to the previous version I give this 3 stars.

I have been a daily user of Dutch chocolate protein for at 3-4 years now. Each time the flavor was that of hot chocolate and I loved it. Unfortunately, this formula change is very bad. The flavor is maybe 1/4 of what it used to be and there are grainy bits that will not dissolve using the same ratio/mixing as before. The gritty texture sticks in my mouth and I will bite into one of these bitter grits minutes after finishing the shake.
