It's all fun with this super exciting board game! Sequence from Jax is a challenging game of strategy. Start the game & have players play a card from their hand and go onto place a chip on the corresponding space on the games board.
Make use of the four colored corners on the game board. Every player must use these four corners as though they are their color marker chip is in the corner. Look to be the first to get five sequences in a row. The first player or team to score a sequence of two before the other team or opponent goes onto win the game. Make sure to have a good game plan, it always comes in handy in any strategy board or card game; each player should look to score the required amount of sequences before any other team.
As you progress through the game and proceed to pick cards from the deck you should also look to block your opponents or remove their chips, and watch out for the Jacks - they're wild! With a little strategy and luck, you'll be a winner.
Includes: Sequence playing cards, tokens, game board, rules, folding game board, 135 Sequence playing chips and game instructions.

We played while visiting with friends, and now we're here to buy the game for our family game nights! Everyone was over the age of 21 and we adults picked up the game very quickly. 2 teams with 3 people each worked out great. Through the week we played other games but kept coming back to Sequence as it required thought, strategy, and teamwork, but didn't take hours to finish (Catan can take hours).
We did have to paint marks on one side of the chips as they were not marked out of the box. Simple to do - and really helped with play.
I went to a dinner gathering with mostly strangers and we came out of it fast friends because of this game. Super fun to play, easy to learn the rules but a good game of strategy as well. The ages we had at the table ranged from 22-74. I'm sure even younger folks could play easily.
Fun - but could be a bit tough for some 7-year-olds

Fun! We've been playing the Kids' version of Sequence for the past few years with my grandson. Now that he's 7, it's a bit too easy for him. I have to say though, there's a big leap from the kids' version to the adult version! If my grandson and I didn't play a lot of cards, it would probably have been too hard for him because it's a bigger board with many more spaces, you get more cards, and you have to be really familiar with the 4 suits in a deck of cards. We took it slowly, easing into our first game and pointing out the strategy to him along the way. We really liked it, and it's fun that you play in teams if you've got more people playing. We plan to play it some more this weekend.
