Q: Do the fish have a magnet in their mouth that allows you to catch them and pull them up, or do you only pull them back up once they've closed their mouth?

A: No magnets once their mouths ar closed then you can pull them up.

Headache induce game. Bought for my 3 yr old and the game goes too fast and the fish don't open up all the way. Probably returning it. The rods are also very cheaply made.

Junk. Many of the fish’s don’t open their mouths at all or don’t hook onto the fishing pole. I thought the old school version of the game had magnets, this version does not. It’s a piece of junk , do not buy this one

This is not the game of our youths. There is only one speed, uber fast. And the fish don't open wide enough for the fishing rod to fit inside their mouths, so it's impossible to play. Absolute crap.

The first time we bought it we couldn’t even open the battery compartment. The screws were defective and we couldn’t open it. The 2nd time everything worked but like previous buyers have said the fish barely open up to put the pole in. Very sad because we remember playing this game as a kid and my husband and I were excited to play with our kids.

I purchased this for my kids as a Christmas gift. My son was really excited. We opened it today and 3 of the fish broke just while setting it up. My kids could not play it on their own because I had to be there to constantly put the fish back together. This game is horrible quality. I am going to return it. Don’t waste your time or money on this.

The mouths don’t open wide enough. Cheap plastic garbage compared to the original version. Prime example of making a product as cheap as possible instead of quality. Not fun at all. Can hardly get any out.

I hardly ever leave reviews but this game was horrible. The fish don’t even open their mouths wide enough to put the pole in their mouth, and it goes so fast that even as an adult I could hardly get any fish.
