I was given a Bottle as a Birthday Gift and I enjoyed it so MUCH that I went out and Bought 4 more Bottles for me and to share with Guest's. some have started to drink it more than their Old Brand just like I did.

We have spent 5 years tasting bourbon, trying to find our favorite, and Jefferson Reserve is IT. We love the smooth taste. We compare everything else to it and we simply like it better than anything else we’ve tried. We toured the distillery once and can’t wait to do it again!

I’ve been sampling and trying to find the perfect sipping bourbon and for making the perfect “Old Fashion”. I’ve tried quite a few, but have a ways to go. Makers Mark, Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Bulliet, Tincup, Jack, Jim Beam, Crown, Heaven’s Door, Woodford Reserve,ElijahCraig, Yellowstone, Angel’s Envy. THE bourbon that best suits my pallet, hands down is Jefferson’sBourbon. I went to a Bourbon bar in Winchester VA and inquired WHICH bourbon they recommend for their “Old Fashion”. Without hesitation, the bartender recommended, Jefferson’s Reserve!

Our first trip to Kentucky was in summer of 2021 to tour the Bourbon Trail. We live in SC, our friends live in MI. I was the only one who didn't like bourbon. I was the designated safe driver. That was until we visited Jefferson's. I am so glad we picked Kentucky Artisan's Distillery as one of our first places to visit. Up until that time I had only tasted the "standard bourbon" and just never cared for bourbon. Jefferson's Reserve changed my mind about liking bourbon. Our tour guide was fantastic in explaining the distilling process. The tasting experience was amazing. JW Reserve and also JW Ocean are my go-to bourbons. We have now been back to the Bourbon Trail 3 years in a row, have toured and tasted many bourbons. None of these compare to the smoothness of JW Reserve.

I enjoy bourbon, but honestly, I don't taste the hints of this or that. I just find this a smooth, tasty bourbon. At 90.2 proof, it's strong, but not overly so. I enjoy it on the rocks, but it tastes good neat as well. This was a gift from my wife for Christmas, but I would buy it again. Actually, I'd like to try more Jefferson's after having the Reserve.
