From the Brambles.Oven-toasted oat streusel and a sweet-tart “brambleberry” jam of blackberries and blackcurrants layered throughout vanilla ice cream.Brambleberry Crisp is inspired by the brambly berry bushes that litter the hillsides of the Appalachian foothills—the kinds of purple berries Jeni used to pick as a child. The sweet vanilla ice cream is made with high-quality vanilla from Madagascar and oven-toasted, brown sugar oat streusel is based on Jeni’s family recipe. The jam is made just for us—including grown-for-us blackberries from our longtime farm partner, Hirsch Fruit Farm. All of these elements come together to form a flavor reminiscent of a fresh berry fruit crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. First introduced in 2009 during our Foggy Mountain Collection, which highlighted the flavors and culture of Appalachia, Brambleberry Crisp was such a superstar that we had to keep it on the menu full-time.

Good, but too many hard seeds make it unpleaant to eat
As much as I like this flavor, I will not be purchasing again due to all the hard little seeds. There were several bites where I worried I was going to crack a tooth—they were THAT hard. At this price point, Jeni’s can afford to remove the seeds before adding the berry purée to the ice cream.

I generally like Jeni’s ice creams, my favorite are almond brittle and salted caramel but this one seems to be just a bunch of jam with some ice cream and the crisp is meh. Won’t buy this one again. For the price I expected way more flavor

I don’t get the hype with this overpriced product. Nothing good about it. Blue Bell and Tillamook are much better quality ice creams and way more affordable. Just not a good combination of flavors or add ins.

Jeni's is a local ice cream chain based out of Nashville, and I always stopped by when I would visit to get this flavor. I am SO happy to find that my Target carries it!! Y'all. Brambleberry Crisp ice cream tastes like eating a bowl of berry cobbler with ice cream at your grandma's house. It's not overly sweet, has the PERFECT ratio of fruit to streusel to vanilla ice cream, and is my go-to when I need a pick-me-up. I would HIGHLY recommend this brand to anyone who loves ice cream and wants to experiment with some delicious flavor pairings! TREAT YO SELF TO SOME JENI'S BOO! She's never steered me wrong!
