I had such high hopes for this brand and flavor of ice cream. I don’t get the hype or the cost. The cake pieces were grainy and dry. Flavor was okay but on the super sweet side. Blue Bell and Tillamook are much better ice creams and way more affordable.

Ice cream part is very watery not creamy at all. Cake part is stale and dry. Tastes like cake made from box mix and sat on the counter for 3 days. Overall extremely sweet, and it's just weird when the ice cream is so runny but the cake in it is so gritty. Cannot believe I paid $7 for some gimmicky ice cream and it's even on sale

I was pregnant and desperately craving a gooey butter cake or cake batter type ice cream. This was the only one Target had and so I spent the crazy $7 to satisfy the craving. The ice cream’s “cake” was a dry spongy/gritty flavor that was not a nice texture and didn’t meld well with the actual ice cream. They need go back to the drawing board/recipe book on this one.

They missed the mark on this. The cream Cheese ice cream is weird tasting. If they would’ve done vanilla ice cream, it would’ve been so much better. The butter cake is good. Butterscotch is a bit too sweet.

NOT Gooey Butter Cake flavor
While this ice cream is garnering buyers from claiming to be gooey butter cake flavor, it's not anywhere near it. It should be renamed to avoid confusion. The original gooey butter cake doesn't have either butterscotch or caramel in it, it doesn't even have cream cheese! It was invented in St. Louis, MO. As a child, my Mom often had me walk to pick one up at Kirkwood Bakery (STL suburb) in the 1960's.

Not Gooey Butter Cake But I'm Impressed.
This ice cream is absolutely delishes but as a Native St. Lousian, I have to say that this is not Gooey Butter Cake, it's a tasty take on it but this is not the real the thing. Also, I love that there is no palm oil or seed oils in this ice cream. Great ingredients and a new staple in my home!
