Jockey Outdoors by Luke Bryan Men's 10" Rugged Cargo Short

These shorts are nice. I purchased them in three colors. The one aspect that really annoys me is that the front pockets are shallow. So shallow that my mobile phone sticks out of the opening causing it to practically fall out every time I sit down. This is definitely not good for an active lifestyle!

For comfort and ease, I go to Jockey. In my opinion Jockey is A+.

These shorts are durable yet soft and comfortable. The pockets are deep and provide plenty of space for your essentials! I have the dark green pair and love the color, couldn’t ask for anything better!

The front pockets are much too short. Velcro works better than tiny little snaps. Otherwise, the shorts are well made and comfortable.

Right from opening the package, one notices the attention to detail in the construction, durability, and functionality of this short. There is reinforced, double, stitching at the waist, belt loops, zipper, and pockets. Speaking of pockets, what would a cargo short be without them? This garment doesn’t disappoint. There are (2) snap-closure ones on the rear side, the (2) reach in pocket one normally finds on the front side, as well as, (2) snap-closure pockets on the lower front side (Also, the right leg pocket has a small, separate, interior pocket that could be used to secure smaller items like a small flashlight, pocket knife, etc. that would be easily accessible). I wore these during entire days indoors. The short material (made of cotton, spandex, and polyester) is very comfortable and stretches a bit to accommodate any activities. The waist band was also quite comfortable. I normally buy/wear pants and shorts at a 38” or 40” waist, and this XL (40W, regular) size fit me well. So far, the short has been very durable and continues to look good after a couple washings (machine wash cold, tumble dry low heat). The zipper and button waist closure seem sturdy. This short has a 10” inseam which is generous and for me (about 6’) almost reaches my knees. I don’t know if Jockey offers it in other inseam lengths. I would probably like a 9” inseam length a little better. I received this product during an “off season” for Michigan since it is currently wintertime, but I am looking forward to trying the shorts outside once the weather is appropriate.

The best part is that the durable material isn’t rough and it has a slight stretch to it that makes it comfortable for active times.

After trying out for a vacation, my pal was very pleased with its handy design and all-day comfort. The fabric and the construction also look well-made. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleasantly surprised with these shorts. The material and their flex are significantly better than I expected. Material seems sturdy yet flexible. Not crazy that they are cargo shorts as the extra pockets seem a little unnecessary but overall really like the look. When it’s properly shorts weather and I can use these while doing outside work this will be my go to pair.

The cargo pockets and buttons will definitely hold your personal items secure. After several washes, no visible shrinkage or color fading. Fits well, and so comfortable you can wear them to bed. My wife commented how good they looked on me and asked where I got them. She couldn't believe Jockey made them. Looking into getting more for the spring.

I really didn’t know what to expect with these shorts, but they are exactly the type of shorts I like. The fit is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this product in time to take on my recent trip to Mexico. The material of these shorts was quite comfortable and durable. I wore them while hiking and the length was just right. The turbodry waistband provided me with its one directional wicking dryness and comfort all day. I liked the side pockets to keep my wallet and other items that I needed on my trip for the day. It also has a handy pen pocket as well. All and all the shorts were rugged and the material provided freedom of movement while bending and stretching with it's four way stretch fabric. Overall they provided the quality you would expect from Jockey. My new favorite hiking shorts.

The material is light but substantial and supposedly they have anti odor properties. I can’t speak to that, but I think they looked great on him. And they have zipped pockets which is ideal for travel. He said the shorts were really comfortable and he’d order more.

I can't wait to wear them out hiking once the weather warms up! The pockets are a little smaller than I expected, but there are plenty of them and I made the fun discovery while wearing them that the side pockets are the perfect size for my e-reader - and they still look great with it in there!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts offer pockets for almost everyone. In addition to the cargo pockets on each side of the shorts, there are two rear pockets (also with flaps that snap) and two small front hand packets. And, there is a small change pocket in right cargo pocket (just like in most denim jeans) and a pen pocket integrated in the left pocket. All four of the cargo pockets are decent sized. The hand pockets are a bit shallow, but I suspect that is so they do not interfere with the cargo pockets that sit below them. I am not sure I would use them other than as hand pockets given their limited depth, but they are lined with a soft fabric that feel like some kind of very smooth nylon. The fabric of the shorts feel like a summer weight twill as it feels soft to the hand, but still durable. The one thing I do wish the shorts had, other than slightly larger hand pockets, is a partial elastic banding in the back to give the shorts some flex and some "grip" around the waist like a volley short or swimsuit. The idea of wearing a belt with shorts is just not my thing, and I found these slipping down a bit more than I would have liked. Granted, my body shape is not helping matters (5'11", 165 lbs., 32" waist), but I find I am much more active when I am typically wearing shorts, and I like shorts that follow my body as I move. Still, I give credit for all of the large and versatile pockets included in these shorts. They probably offer as much storage space as a small sling bag.

That said, these shorts came true to size and are a bit loose. I actually like the fit. The material is soft and comfortable. The length comes right down to the top of my knees...so they are really perfect.

I wore them for a week on vacation and found the snap close pockets a lifesaver for keeping my passport handy ME securing my phone. They are a heavy fabric but cut loose enough to get a swimsuit or light weight shorts underneath. Length hits the knees, a tad long for my taste but not a deal killer. If they have one negative it’s that the normal pockets are a bit shallow and larger items can slip out, but the snap close pockets are good for those. They fit true to size.
