Buyer beware

I thought we’d give these a try instead of ole reliable but it was probably one of the worst mispurchases I’ve made in recent memory. We live in pretty tight times but my first thought after the second bite was these need to just be trashed never to see the light of day.

OMG why can’t it be ZERO stats

It’s tastes like that unclean soda fountain at the movies. Half of it was like soda syrup and the other half…. Never mind both sides of this sausage was barely chewed and spit out on my plate. Terrible. Honestly, I don’t think I will be wanting another regular Dr. Pepper soda either.

Sweet odor and taste, like it was stored in a vat of perfume. I hate waste, and always consume what I buy even if I dislike the item. This is inedible. I want a refund.

Never will try again.

Bought by mistake and tried to eat but absolutely horrible. Way too sweet tasting. Tried to finish package by cooking in sauerkraut. Even sauerkraut couldn’t hide taste.

Absolutely vile.

Just got done cooking these. My wife bought them on accident. They smelled funny while cooking, then I checked the package. Dr. Pepper?!? Needless to say I was skeptical. My fears were absolutely confirmed upon the first bite. These are sooo vile. I wouldn't feed these to prisoners. Reheating yesterday's chicken now. Onion, bell pepper, shallots all in the trash (same pan). Bummer.

This is gross!!!

My wife and I love your products. We buy them almost weekly. However this Dr Pepper Sausage is one of the most disgusting things I have ever tasted. I'm only giving it 1 star because the website won't allow me to give it zero. Please, please, stop making it.

These are easily the most foul things I have tried to eat in the past 10 years. I came online after one bite to find somewhere that I can vent my grief bc I cannot keep it to myself--I would have never ended up on this site otherwise. How on earth could did this get past enough decision makers to actually hit the store shelves actually boggles my mind. It is nasty. It leaves a horrible aftertaste. I should have already been suspicious when it didn't smell good like other Johnsonville brats. I am so horrified others might actually spend good money and time cooking these. They certainly won't consume them. It's worse than cough syrup.

I was excited to try these. I am not a picky eater at all. Literally the worst thing ive ever eaten. I had to spit it out. I cannot describe the level of disgusting. Ever bite into rotten meat? Its worse than that.

Horrible!!!!!!!

I’d give them a zero if I had the choice to do so. I’d rather eat the fries off the floor at McDonald’s than eat these. Grabbed a couple packages because we like Dr Pepper , what a mistake and waste of money. Fire the idea guy and the test panel along with anyone involved in pushing this flavor through the chain.

Loved them!

Didn't know what these might be like, but we trusted the Johnsonville name.... GREAT!! Just purchased them for the fourth--and probably last time this year, as it seemed this was the last of the stock. Next summer, try cherry cola or root beer and bring back the Dr. Pepper!

Gross sweet flavor on a nice looking sausage

I thought I was buying brats. I thought they smelled a little odd. Then I tasted them. Some folks may like these, but I think they're gross. I'm a big fan of Johnsonville products. I love your original and bear brats. I even like the precooked sausages I've tried. These were definitely not even in the same league as the other Johnsonville products I've had.
