I do love these shoes. They are the most comfortable pair I have ever owned. My feet stay comfortable. Gone are the days of a damp sock from a hot foot when I get home from a long day at work and take my foot off. Gone are the foot arch pains. BUT, when I walk on smooth surfaces like the vinyl tile at my office, or on a school hallway, they make a "unique" popping noise. The noise is growing increasingly frustrating. I assume air is getting trapped in the depression of the middle of the sole. I find myself walking slightly to one side to not make the popping noise.

The shoes fit perfectly!! Had to return them though because of the horrible suction cup noise. Someone really messed up the design. Too bad , because it’s a good looking shoe. But that sound is annoying!!

Shoe fits great and are comfortable. The one downside is they suction to the floor due to the sole design.

I really like this pair of shoes. They are a dressy tennis shoe but still are appropriate for work, church, and everyday life. A cleaning wipe takes care of dirt easily on the white sole. Only complaint is on the VCT at work, they sometimes squeak.
Weird popping noise when I walk on hard surfaces

May be the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn but when I walk on hard surfaces the shoes pop and feel as though they are sucking to the ground. You can feel the shoe give and make a loud pop. It is very embarrising walking though a department store and you pop "loudly" with every step. I got these at Christmas and this has been happening the past month.

Love the shoes. But they suction cup to the floor. There's a cup in the bottom and its super annoying. Its worse when its wet...but it still does it when its dry. Total design flaw. They need cut or indented so the air can get out.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, but they make a loud suction sound when on tile, wood, or any smooth type of floor. On carpet - zero issue. I went to one department store, and it embarrassed me how much they popped (every single step). I may have to stop wearing them, which stinks.

I have been a JM shoe cutter for a few years. I have tried different styles and have been very pleased with all. I was preparing to travel to two countries that I knew would require a lot of walking. I also new that they would be mostly extreme dry conditions. I fly light so I wanted one pair of shoes. I literally wore the Ameherst from the time I boarded the plane in the US until I retuned home. The only time thy came off was for sleeping. I walked about 8-10k steps a day. These shoes held up under some rough conditions. I purchased the gray that were not flashy and could be worn with jeans. I have dressed up and down with these shoes. I have two pair, one is the pair that tracked many miles in three countries. I highly recommend for comfort and fit!

I got a pair of these in blue 3 weeks ago. They are truly comfortable and stylish. I can wear them to the office. There a weird noise though, when walking the right heel sticks to tile or smooth wood floors, creates a suction effect and loud pop with every step I take. I still really like them but wish I didn’t have the suction noise.

I have the regular Amhersts and love them so was excited to try the 2.0s. Was kind of let down with this weird crease on my inside foot when walking when the shoe flexes. I think I will have to return and get a different color of the regular ones.

I Like the look of these shoes and they were initially comfortable to wear, however one of the fabric loops holding the laces broke after only a handful of times wearing this sneaker to the office.... unfortunately I am outside of the 90 day purchase window so am not eligible for replacement.
