The instructions that come along are extremely vague. What are the challenge dice for? When do we use them? It looks like a nice game, it is such a shame to not really being able to play with it.

Got this for Christmas. I was excited because it resembles the game in the movie and it had sounds. We played twice and I’m going to return it. It’s fun for younger kids. The rules don’t make sense and the event tasks are very childish. The volume is loud and you can’t adjust it. The noises are kinda scary for small kids. It’s really not as fun as the older version where you roll dice to beat challenges. The riddles are vague and it’s hard to guess the answer.

I am obviously in the minority here. But I found this have ridiculous and unplayable. The challenges are things like hopping up and down on one foot for 45 seconds, or sitting underneath the table for the remainder of the game. We have two disabled people in our family and couldn't do anything. I would have preferred all challenges be dice challenges. Like roll for a rope. Each time you roll other than a rope, move back one space. That kind of thing. Also, there were no clear advantages or penalties for getting our not getting the challenge. The original Jumanji game was much better. This did have cool sounds, but only people on one side of the board could read the riddles. There was no way to twist it around. Hard pass.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loved it but after about 6 games it stopped working. We tried replacing the batteries but still no luck. Emailed spinmaster for advice but got no reply. V disappointing when the game costs so much and stops working after such a short period of time. It is a great game so would normally have rated it higher if it hadn't stopped working.

Great for my kids who are 6 and 8. Not really an adult game, more to play with kids. They had so much fun acting out the cards and guessing the riddles. I had to read it to them as the cards were difficult to interpret. Just a forewarning, you have to ‘act out’ experiences like hiding under tables and pretending to climb on ropes. It’s a lot of fun!

when the game is not damaged, it is a marvel of electronic play. Fun. But Target delivered curbside to me a game that was damaged. If I hadn't known, I would have thought it was just a bad game. I picked it up curbside, but had to go into the store to return it. The Bad is on Target, not on the game.

The box should say 8-10 yrs old, not 8+. My husband & I thought it would be fun to play together but it's definitely a kids game. I would go as far as calling it Jumanji junior. It'll be fun when the kids get older but it could have been so much better. We would return it if we could, we got through it in 10 minutes.

I played with kids ranging from 6-12 years old who all had fun. We did have a hard time figuring out what the instructions wanted us to do sometimes and made our own rules on occasion. The game took about an hour with 4 players and 30 minutes with 2 players. It is a particularly exciting game for kids thanks to the sounds and visuals. And it is nostalgic for me as a parent who watched the movie as a kid. Overall I would recommend it.

Good for family game nights. Each round takes less than 20min. We do enjoy the eery green glow and sound effects - worth the extra money for the delux version. Some of the action cards are a bit too energetic for grandparents so they chose to just lose a life (safer than breaking a hip - lol!)
