Reverse the tube cap.
The tube should be reversed. The cap needs to be on the narrow end not on the wide mouth cap. The blackening agent gets trapped near the cap and doesn’t evenly mix even when massaging the tube.

Disappointed
I've been using control gx shampoo for many years, it had stopped working. I was mostly using it on my beard, I bought the beard one and same result nothing, started using it again after a break and now I'm getting chemical burns and had to shave off my beard of 25 years it was a great product until recently. Not happy

Great features
After using the regular just for men products I tried the shampoo. It was so easy and I feel like I don't have to actually color my hair as often and it's more of an even coverage. I'm so glad I tried it.

Product No Longer Works
The Just for men GX control just doesn’t do the job any more very sad. I’ve been using this for years but need to find a mother brand since GX Control just doesn’t have, what seems like a cut back on the active ingredient, the performance it had. I actually purchased a few tubes and thought they were defective so I threw them out and went to a different store and picked up new tube but no good same result. So i tried a different one from shampoo and conditioner to the straight shampoo. Still the same result. Very disappointing not the mention the cost for 5 tubes. I guess it’s time to look for a new brand. I guess production costs are more important than the customer. Shrink-flation

Prefer old formula.
Personally preferred the non keratin formula. Noticed hair was harder to manage, less smooth. Then found the previous formula for sale and it was back to leaving my hair looking great and easier to manage. Wish when they change a formula they keep the old formula that created their loyal customer base available also

Reduced effectiveness
I have been using this product for two years but am now dissapointed by its lack of effect. It appears that new formulations have reduced the amount of dye such that it has minimal effect. It is evident from the lack of colour draining away when the shampoo is washed out. Is it a cynical attempt to make customers to use more of it?

Why oh why did you mess it up?
I have been a user for years, but it appears the formula has changed. There used to be color in the shampoo and when you rinsed, it would be dark. This isn't true anymore. It does nothing except make my hair a little bit orange. I am so unhappy

New formula with keratin is terrible!
I've used the product for years, been a happy, repeat customer. Since they changed the formula and added keratin the product stains my scalp, extremely noticeable. Not to mention my fingernails. Please go back to the old formula or offer a keratin free option.

As these products are typically oil based, they prevent the dye from sticking to your skin and are easily washed off when rinsing the color from your hair. If you end up with stains, you can use soap and water or a hair coloring stain remover. Any nail staining, gently clean with toothpaste and a toothbrush. If you still experience nail staining, use disposable gloves.

Using JFM for decades
I began using just for men, I believe in the 80s. Although it did the job, it was difficult to get a proper hair color. Too dark mostly. I switched to the shampoo about seven or eight years ago and what a difference. It is incredibly easy and I use it now about once a week. I have only one question to the experts. I get a haircut about every 5 to 6 weeks. When I do, gray shows up after the haircut and patches. It takes me quite a while to darken those back again. When I am using the shampoo, I dig in to the scalp, trying to make sure I am coloring every part of my hair, but to no avail, I still get the gray patches after a haircut. Even the haircutter will ask me, “do you color your hair“? Any suggestions?

The product works but the start of the tube is tan color, at the end is almost black. I shake and shake before opening and before every use. This has been the same last 5 purchases. Can't believe this is normal?

Stopped working
We have been buying this product. for over 10 years. But the last batch is not the same any more. It does not color your hair even after 30 min wearing it around the house.
