Great gray coverage

Cream triple protection

I tried dark brown color which is very near to my original hair color. I like that it does not have strong ammonia smell like salon. Also my hair did not dry after using it. It comes with all the supply for coloring. Easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loreal excellence creme permanent triple protection hair color (8- medium blonde) does so great, I know why they named it "excellence" because thats exactly what it is! It covers gray with ease and it last longer than any other box dye I've ever tried! It is super conditioning, it doesn't have that horrible loud smell, its easy on the scalp and I have a sensitive scalp!! It also didnt irritate my scalp like most dye's do! If u are looking for a good box dye I highly reccomend giving this 1 a try!!

True to color

It had a little attachment that helped spread the dye out easier. It actually didn't smell that bad. The shampoo was a nice touch, and it lathered like crazy. The conditioner smells amazing, and my hair felt pretty soft after.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Either we didn’t know how to follow rules or this did not work for us. So there were too many tubes for us to figure out. Then came the color mixing which was ok. We just did a small portion of the back head. It didn’t turn out the way we wanted it. May be the hair was not taking the color for us at least.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this L’Oreal Paris Excellence Crème home hair color kit just yesterday. Before I had even finished drying my hair, my husband walked by and said, “Oh, your hair looks really pretty!” He had no idea I had just colored it, and the color is very close to what I woke up with yesterday morning…and still, he noticed, even just from walking by. That’s a measure of how great this product has made my hair look. It has lifted my grays and given my medium blonde hair dimension and shine I wasn’t expecting. This kit is pretty straightforward and easy to use. I don’t have a lot of experience coloring my hair myself, but I have done it a number of times, and the steps for this product are very similar to those of any other box hair colors I have used. The only small surprise I found in this kit is that it comes not only with a conditioner for aftercare, but a small tube of shampoo, too. But basically, and as usual, you just mix the color with the developer and apply the resulting product to your roots first, then to the lengths of your hair. I had full saturation with this one bottle for my just-below-the-shoulder-length hair with no problem. (Very long hair might require two boxes for full coverage.) This kit comes with an applicator comb, but since I hadn’t colored in the last three months, I followed the directions for all-over color, which does not require the comb accessory, for some reason. I set my timer for 32 minutes (instead of the suggested 30 because I like numbers that are divisible by 4, and yes, I really am that weird) and waited for half an hour(ish). The mixture was very soft and foamy when I began to rinse it, and the shampoo made it even softer and foamier, but it rinsed clear and clean. I followed with the conditioner, as per instructions, and boy, does my hair feel fantastic now! It’s so super soft and healthy-feeling! And the color is gorgeous. My grays are all but gone. I can still see a few along my hairline, but that’s probably down to user error, and they aren’t very noticeable, anyway. Overall, I am really impressed with the performance of this hair color. It was easy to use and it produced a beautiful effect in less than an hour. UNFORTUNATELY, however, my review cannot end there. While the product itself is good, some of L’Oreal’s practices are not. This brand still sells their products in mainland China where animal testing is compulsory. So while L’Oreal claims they haven’t participated in any animal testing for several decades now, they are still complicit in the needless and senseless suffering of countless tortured and terrified cats and rabbits. For that reason, I can’t and won’t recommend this product, regardless of how effective it might actually be.

Excellent gray coverage!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review of the product. I received the Loreal permanent hair color in natural black. I opened the box and was surprised to get a shampoo along with the conditioner. I mixed the color into the developer and shook the bottle. The bottle also contained a separate top that you could comb the hair color onto the roots. It was the first time I've ever used this type of attachment to color my hair. The color was easy to apply and not too thin, so as not to drip down my face or neck. Once I had made sure that I had covered all of my roots, it was wait time. Once the time was ready, I rinsed out the color, then used a small amount of the shampoo and quickly washed my hair and continued rinsing until the water was clear. I then conditioned and then proceeded to dry my hair and style it. I was quite pleased with the gray coverage, as I always seem to have stubborn grays that don't color near my temple. Most of the temple area took the color, a few stragglers, but overall, I was so happy with the color and the scent of the color, shampoo and conditioner!

Did not cover gray well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was disappointed in this product. I used it as a root touchup. This color did not cover my gray well at all. And where I did get some coverage it faded very quickly. I left this on 40 minutes which is longer than what the instructions stated hoping to get better coverage. Very easy to apply with the bottle, the shampoo and conditioner is very nice.
