It’s a decent dye
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this dye on an old wig since i currently have locs. It dyed the closure beautifully and improved the overall texture of the hair. I had to kind of skimp just for the closure because I didn’t know if it would be enough for all of the hair but overall it worked!

Great budget product

Not worth the time or cost. This line used to work better. Not sure what happened. I used the dark brown color on my roots only and left it on extra time. It came out light reddish brown. The formula also irritated my skin. I won't buy again.

Which is your shade???
I have been using Revlon ColorSilk for years. I’ve tried different shades of brown, reds, burgundy and blacks & my hair always feels & looks healthy afterwards. Revlon ColorSilk offers great gray coverage for my new growth/roots. This hair dye offers long lasting color. I wish my hair didn’t grow so fast, because the color is always still so vibrant and shiny by the time my roots start showing and really it’s only my roots that need a touch up. If your looking for a dye that will give you full coverage with color that will stay vibrant and healthy looking I would recommend trying Revlon ColorSilks many different shades of colors, there’s so many to choose from.

Itchy scalp

Pretty But Fades Quick and Is Messy
Fades quickly but the shade 10 is flattering whether I’m pale or have a tan. This shade really makes my complexion look rosy and healthy. 10 is a very saturated neutral black. It makes me feel so beautiful and stick out of the crowd since blonde hair is common where I live. I have had no irritation but I use vaseline tp protect my skin and oil cleanser to remove any leftover dye. I also shampoo after rinsing until the water is almost clear. I don’t want the dye to sit on my scalp too long since I have eczema. This also makes washing my hair in the future completely mess free and the water runs clear after the first wash. I also moisturize my scalp afterwords and use bond repair products to minimize damage. Word of advice to newbies always strand and patch test to see if you like the color and if you have allergies to the product.

Not worth it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who already has dark hair, I didn’t notice any difference at all after using this product. The chemical smell is very strong and for no change in hair color, I would say this was not worth it. To make things worse, Revlon is a brand that still tests their products on animals, which should be enough to stay away from them. I will not be touching their products in the future.

Was easy to use, took to my hair great and it as easy to manage. I had no irritation and the fading wasn’t noticeable since I had dark brown hair prior. It developed quickly and was an easy rinse out process.
