Q: Does the "new improved formula" address the benzene concerns? Most name brands recalled dry shampoos over this issue, but DeMert never did, but have a class action law suit against them :/

I used to use the old version of the Not your mother’s texturizing dry shampoo and my biggest problem with it in the past was that I didn’t find the dry shampoo to be that effective. It gave my hair texture but the oil wouldn’t really absorb into my hair well and would leave it feeling heavy with product. However, this is a new formula so I wanted to try it again— I was pleasantly surprised to find that this formula is much better at oil absorption and keeping my hair looking fresher for longer. I love that one spray can lasts for so long. My only complaint is the design of the spray nozzle. It’s not the most intuitive thing to open at the start. I had to get some tools to break open one side of the nozzle so that it would start spraying.

I used to love this dry shampoo until they came out with the “new formula” and now the aerosol stops working. The last three cans I’ve bought have had the same issue. Stops working mid use and then completely stops working about half way through the can so you’re throwing away product. Sadly won’t be bun this anymore.

If you like to waste your money, this dry shampoo is the way to go. The last SIX cans I bought (always beach waves, toasted coconut) were defective. The first time it happened, they *both* came together in a bundle pack so I thought maybe I just got a dud, but the last however many single cans (from different stores, but mostly Target) have had the same defects. Right after the halfway point, aerosol top stops working completely.

The dry shampoo sprayer hardly worked. It lasted roughly 3 times. The can ran out exceptionally fast. Multiple times I would try and spray the product and the sprayer wouldn't work

Defective can! The ‘new formula’ can doesn’t work how it’s supposed to and just sprays air and then eventually runs out of air so it just has product in the can that you can’t use.

I also like to flip my hair upside down and blow dry to add drawing even more. I think this does all the claims but maybe in my hair but the next day if you do not wash it I did find it to get oilier quicker. But overall I do think this is a great product when you're in a rush or just won't to skip a hair wash day.

See first pic, buuut this helped quite a bit. I don’t think I saw a diff in texture, but my hair smelled good and felt good. It didn’t leave too much residue, but there was some. I also think that I had to use a lot to see a difference. Not the worst, but not my personal fave.

The bottle sprays finely and doesn't leave the thick powdery residue that other dry shampoos often do. By far, my favorite part is that this actually leaves my hair feeling cleaner as opposed to coated. It delivers lightweight oil absorption via a natural barley spray powder that is nearly undetectable in any light. 10/10!

Or possibly something else? Hard to say. So I use it very minimally and try to keep it to my hair and off my scalp just to be on the safe side. I used my free sample of Not Your Mother's beach babe dry shampoo on a cross country road trip. We drove straight across so it was nice to be able to freshen up my hair in the morning without a shower. A few women were watching me and commented on how good my hair looked so I let them try it out and told them I got it free from Influenster so

With the current news, I am not a huge fan of aerosol dry shampoos. If I was looking to add an aerosol dry shampoo to my product list, it would be this one. Smelled really good!
