Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo for Dark Hair - 7oz

I’ve only used the travel size of this brand and it was ok, nothing to rave about then I saw the brunette one and decided to give it a shot. I hate it. 0/10, do not recommend. It leaves a very heavy residue on your hands and ever after I wash my hair the next day, it’s still on my scalp. I’ve used the Bastiste one for brunettes and it is not anything like this. Not satisfied at all.

I've used several types of dry shampoo and this one in particular makes my hair feel rough and dirty as it leaves a strange residue.

This dry shampoo is amazing!! I will never buy anything else! I’m not sure what the reviews about strong smell are, it smells yummy and makes your hair look so clean!! I am highly impressed. Of course there is going to be a cast, it’s dry shampoo if they made it too dark it would look black… smell fades and it’s not strong. Don’t think twice just buy!!

Makes your finger nails look super dirty, makes your hair feel disgusting. Has a strong smell.

Feels gritty and uncomfortable in hair. The way they get around the white cast is by dying the powder itself, so within about 30 minutes of putting this in my hair I had gray all over my hands from trying to shake it out/blend it. I will probably throw away the whole bottle! Not worth it!

Doesn't leave a grey cast like other dry shampoos. The smell is pretty faint compared to their other dry shampoos

In England I get Batiste dry shampoo for dark hair and it has lots of color. Which is what I want to help disguise thinning hair right up front. But the same product here has no dark color to it. It makes my hair look lighter or gray. Very dissapointing. This spray does have dark color. For my purpose it's great. So if you want color, not just spray that's invisible on your hair this will do it. It seems to be highly concentrated so a little will do the trick. Don't get it if you don't want color that's visible. A bit of plain hairspray helps to keep it in place since the color goes on as a powder and can be rubbed off. It can also be used with other dry shampoos or texturizers if you want more texture without adding more color.

I was so upset to learn the formula of this dry shampoo changed. It’s no longer black but a super light brown. Hardly dark. Going to have to change brands which is unfortunate.

I love the tinted clean freak. For some reason, the original formula left my hair feeling dirty and heavy, and didn't help with the oily hair. But the tinted formula works great! It is a fine spray and leaves my hair feeling light and not weighed down by product. It gives my hair volume and reduces the shine from oily hair. It also has a great smell!

It works good but makes my scalp itch something vicious. Try not to put your finger through your hair cause the brown gets on your skin and under your nails

worked the same as the regular dry shampoos- pretty well. although it didn’t show up on my hair, the dark color covered my hands and brush when i touched or brushed my hair. it got under my nails and made them look dirty. it smells great tho!

It works better than my high end tinted dry shampoo.

hands down best dry shampoo I’ve ever used, my hair typically gets greasy on day two I am now on day three hair still looking like day one. other dry shampoo may leave my hair feeling stiff and don’t work nearly as well . This one does not and also smells amazing.

It does make your hair look clean like it's supposed to, and it does smell great HOWEVER I touch my hair frequently throughout the day. And I'm noticing after putting this in my hair it leaves a black residue on my hands and fingers. For this reason alone I would recommend you find something else to use I've had luck with Batiste and Amekia.

Instant love. This is the first dark dry shampoo I've used that's actually dark. It blends well with my dark brown hair. I barely have to do anything to blend it in. It also smells amazing. The scent is not overpowering at all, but I love it. It's almost like a vanilla/sandalwood/amber type scent. I would use more products in this scent 100%. It works to absorb oil well and it is light on my hair (light in texture and does not weigh it down). Please keep making this forever. I found my new go-to that works as well as more costly dry shampoos without breaking the bank. I only wish I had found it sooner. Seriously highly recommend this.

I have been using Not Your Mother’s dry shampoo for years. Seeing my hair is very, very dark brown, I decided to give the dark hair version a try. I will never buy it again. It claims not to leave a white residue, but instead, it leaves a black residue. Every time I touch my hair, I come away with black on my hands and under my nails. It’s gross and embarrassing when out in public. I don’t plan on using the rest of the product because it’s not worth the residue.

I think the smell is awesome and the color is perfect for me. I have very dark blonde or very light brown hair depending on who you ask and the time of year. Absolutely the product has dye in it so if you scratch your head you might get some brown powder under your finger nails. I haven't had problems with it dying my clothes or pillows but I've only used one bottle. Mostly I just think the smell is great and that it doesn't leave my scalp looking powdery white and actually sort of fills in my middle part a bit. I wish they made a mini/travel sized because I would use it all the time for work. My biggest issues with other dry shampoos is that the smell makes me feel really gross and like I'm putting air freshener on, but this one and the coconut one actually just smell awesome and come at a really reasonable price. Anyways the other reviewers are definitely right you just have to decide what the priority is for you!

Will not buy dark tint again it seems & feels more like a powder hair die
