This product did manage to reduce the oil in my hair and refresh it but the downfall is that the powder stains. I noticed brown residue on my fingers after trying to do a hairstyle. It was still staining after a while as well.

Beware of the residue! It stains
It did remove the excess oil in my hair but it left dark stains around my hairline even after brushing it out some. It also stained my fingers & forehead with the dark residue. I would never purchase this again. There are better dark hair dry shampoos on the market that don’t stain your skin & clothing.

It does well on the actual purpose of dry shampoo but if you run your hand through your hair after using your hands are full of the dark residue. Other dark dry shampoos don’t do that. And when you wash it after the amount of dark residue that comes out is insane. So annoying don’t wear a white shirt with it!!

This product before the revamp was my go-to! The dry shampoo for dark actually came out black. My hair is jet black, the new "dark" formula is perfect for brown shades of hair... I don't want brown dry shampoo.

It gets the job done, but there is so much residue that it transfers onto your forehead and you absolutely cannot touch your scalp after using without needing to go wash your hands. Would definitely not repurchase, but will finish the bottle. Bautiste’s brunette dry shampoo has far less residue and works equally well if not even better.

Would rather deal with white cast from usual dry shampoo!
I really wanted to like this product :( but definitely defeats the purpose of a dry shampoo- it leaves a dark residue that you can’t see but the moment you run your fingers through your hair, it makes your fingernails look so dirty and it’s embarrassing. Might as well wash your hair!

I could not make this work. My hair has been coming out in clumps since using this. It has way too much pigment no matter how little you use- like to the point you need to cover your part when you spray it. It gets on everything as well. I only sprayed it on my roots and it transferred to my face and my hands every time. Hairspray does not help either. I also can’t get passed the feel of it, it’s so thick and gritty. I would not recommend this at all.

Gross, heavy residue
I’ve only used the travel size of this brand and it was ok, nothing to rave about then I saw the brunette one and decided to give it a shot. I hate it. 0/10, do not recommend. It leaves a very heavy residue on your hands and ever after I wash my hair the next day, it’s still on my scalp. I’ve used the Bastiste one for brunettes and it is not anything like this. Not satisfied at all.

This dry shampoo is amazing!! I will never buy anything else! I’m not sure what the reviews about strong smell are, it smells yummy and makes your hair look so clean!! I am highly impressed. Of course there is going to be a cast, it’s dry shampoo if they made it too dark it would look black… smell fades and it’s not strong. Don’t think twice just buy!!
