Description

Color Oops Extra Strength Hair Color Remover is the safest and most effective way to reverse an undesirable hair color application in just 20 minutes! Color Oops corrects your hair color by shrinking the dye molecules, allowing you to simply wash them away.
Our unique formula is bleach-free and ammonia-free; Color Oops will not have the damaging effects of bleach or ammonia based products. Color Oops Extra Strength is formulated to remove the most difficult colors and color build-up, yet gentle enough that you can re-color your hair the same day.

Color Oops Extra Strength removes artificial color from hair that has become too dark. For instance: if your hair was blonde and you applied a brown color that is too dark, Color Oops can be used to get your hair back to a blonde shade.
Color Oops can also be used to remove artificial color from hair that was lightened but became off-tone. For instance: if you have naturally brown hair and used an ash blonde color and your hair is now blonde with a green tint, Color Oops will remove the green tint, but your hair will remain blonde.

Q: I used color oops Mon,& it did not take all the processed color out. It left it an odd orange reddish color. Im trying to go from red to my natural blonde color. How soon can I use color oops again?

submitted by Karen - 9 years ago
  • A: Hi there!!! So this particular product is for lifting color not removing it. For example: my hair is blue right now, if I use this- it will bring my deep blue to a light blue because that is the base of my hair color right now. Just like the red goes orange- because it's the base color for your red hair. As far as when to use it again, I use it same day if needed.

submitted byListie - 9 years ago
  • A: Color Oops can be used twice in a day but we suggest to wait an additional day. When coloring hair, a mixture of artificial hair color and hydrogen peroxide (oxide/developer) are used to deposit color into the hair. At the same time it is depositing color, the hydrogen peroxide (oxide/developer) can lighten the natural pigment your hair. Therefore, even though you may be coloring darker, your natural pigment may be altered. When color Oops is applied and the artificial color is removed, what is left of your natural color will be exposed. If your natural color was altered, you will see a brassy, red or warm color. In this case, you can re-color to your desired color.

Q: Will.this help with color banding?

submitted by Din4 - 3 months ago
  • A: Yes, Color Oops can help with color banding by removing artificial pigment from hair, especially from permanent dye, helping to even out tones. It works best on dark, overlapping, or muddy bands. However, it may not work on all hair types, and you may need multiple applications to fully remove the unwanted color.

Q: Is this a good product to remove red hair dye

  • A: Yes, Color Oops is an effective, non-bleach product for removing artificial red hair dye, especially permanent or box dye.

Q: Would I need the color remover if I dyed my hair back to my original color which is black but now I want to dye it again back to brown.

submitted by Crystal - 4 months ago
  • A: Yes, you will likely need a color remover. Because color cannot lift previously dyed black hair to a lighter brown, a color remover (or bleach) is necessary to strip the artificial black pigment first. Using a color remover is recommended over bleach initially as it is less damaging and gently breaks down the dye molecules.

Q: If my natural hair color was dark brown and I dyed my hair a copper orange/red what color will my hair be after I use this product

submitted by Jamin - 5 months ago
  • A: Using Color Oops Extra Strength on copper/red-dyed dark brown hair will likely result in a light orange, brassy blonde, or light copper-brown color. It removes artificial,, oxidized pigment, bringing your hair back to the lighter, warm-toned shade it was before the color was deposited, rather than your natural dark brown.

If rate it less than 1 star if I could. It did not work at all and my house smelled awful for 2 days after despite opening windows and running the fan. I'm worried about my health and anyone else who buys this. What chemicals are in this? Should be recalled. Disappointed.

I cant go near my sister anymore

My sister used this and OMG my nose hairs got burnt off from that smell, i sprayed so much perfume and it still was lingering. On top of that, it made her hair a literal swamp, it turned an ugly green with a terrible rotten smell. If you go near her, it’s like someone left an egg sandwich out in the sun for a few days.

The worst smell I’ve smelt EVER.

Dyed my friends hair and it literally turned it blue and green. It was purple before. Also the smell was absolutely ATROCIOUS. Literally smelled dog poo, rotten egg, century old cheese and broccoli. She has washed her hair like 10x already and it still stinks. The whole upstairs smells and it gets worse every time you move. Disappointed.

It touched some of the dye in my hair but after all of the effort of rinsing for 20 minutes mostly what it did was make my hair smell terrible. Would not recommend.

    Not what i hoped for

Definitely didn’t achieve the results I hoped for. The top of my head lightened quite a bit while the rest of my hair is still pretty dark. Not sure why there is a dramatic difference. The smell was strong but I washed my hair so many times that the smell went away. I have been using boxed dye for about 4 years but I think I will need a professional to fix this mess.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am so sorry to hear that the results didn't meet your expectations and that you’re dealing with uneven color. Achieving an even lift can be challenging when there is a significant amount of existing box dye, as the new growth at the roots often lightens much faster than the older pigment on the ends. We also apologize for the strong scent you experienced; while we strive for the best sensory experience, some high-performance formulas do have a lingering odor. We want to make this right. Please reach out to us directly at info@developlus.com so we can discuss the best next steps for your hair's health. We value your business and hope to help you find a solution.

    Product Smells Horrible

Whatever you do, do not buy this product. The formula was for starters way too runny. It also smelled like rotten eggs. It's been a week and my hair still smells like rotten eggs. I've been washing it multiple times every day, but it will not go away. The product did work well, however other products work just as well as this if not better, plus they also won't ruin the smell of your hair.

    Wasted money

Tried using this for the first time and it didn't work at all. Did as instructed and even rinsed my hair for 35 min and there is no change as the color is still there. Won't try this product ever again as it just wasted my money.

Ok I thought the other reviews were lying but it does smell so bad and that smell does linger. I had the cosmo brown Kristen Ess hair gloss in my hair, not only did it not strip it, it turned the bottom half of my hair orange 🤗

This does work. I colored my hair a dark red on Christmas Eve and I liked it but after a few months I was tired of it. I found out about this product and tried. The product worked really well at lifting the dark red color out of my hair. Beware of the smell it's awful like a mix between raw sewage and skunk. The smell tends to linger as well
