I have been using box dye on my hair for years every so often. I always stick to similar shades of brown. This was my first time using this specific L’Oréal Box Dye and I will NEVER use it again. After washing my hair with the shampoo and conditioner provided, CLUMPS of my hair fell out. It was horrifying and I have never experienced this before. I’m too embarrassed to post photos but it was bad. Stay far away!

What happened to my number 4 Dark Brown go to hair color that always used to work. Did you change the formula? My number 4 Dark Brown is now making my roots a dirty yellowish brown color that is not gonna match the rest of my hair. It’s super disappointing because I’ve used this product Year after year after year and it’s always been outstanding until this past November 2024.

Using this color for decades and now with the formula change I have had a terrible reaction! Very Itchy scalp and pimples on my head. I saw other reviews with the same complaint! Switching to Garnier as I can't take this terrible aggression on my scalp. Please fix the formula!!!

Hey Roadi. We understand how frustrating it is when we don't achieve the color results we expect. Excellence Cream may be left on for 30 mins on the roots and 10 mins on the length a total of 40 mins. We hope this information is helpful.

I have used this brand for several years. However, you recently changed the packaging of the conditioner inside the box. The last three times I bought it, the conditioner has been split open inside the box. Which leaves me with no conditioner! I wasn’t surprised to see someone else comment about having the same problem. Maybe I need to find a different brand next time.
