There is a STRONG fishy odor that you can not wash off at all. I tried everything and just ended up having to throw them away some cleaning them made the smell worse. Please smell these front and back before you leave the store. I wasted my money do not waste yours make sure there is no odor.

These placemats are great! I’ve had them for almost a year now and they have held up very well. As they are faux leather and they are not very expensive, it is easy to tell that it’s not real leather but that is not a problem to me and they still make a great addition to my dining room table.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these a few weeks ago when I upgraded my dining room set and they fit perfectly with my decor! They actually feel pretty soft and smooth, and give a "real" leather appearance, even though they are faux. I was SO glad to see that it came in a 6 piece set, because many place settings typically come with 4. Plus, the fact that it came with coasters was an amazing added bonus. They were packaged nicely upon arrival and were ready for use. I feel as if they are made with quality materials and come at a great price. Therefore, I give these a 10/10! I look forward to keeping them in my dining room decor rotation.

I really liked the texture and the tactile nature of the leather or faux leather of the placemats. My kitchen is very eclectic and this tied the 1950’s dinner table with the Day of the Dead sculptures on a shelf near by. They have withstood several spills of wine, whiskey, and tea. They’ve been eaten off of and had laptops use them. I would highly recommend. The coasters came bent and rolled up, but a few weeks later they are perfect.
