Kalila Is Ready for Rain - by Kashi Grobe (Hardcover)

Book Synopsis

A carefree picture book about self-expression, much-loved possessions and being joyful whatever the weather.

Kalila's favorite birthday present is a sunshine yellow rain poncho. She wears it everywhere - in the park, at the grocery store, at dinner time... even in the bathtub! There's no sign of rain, but she doesn't mind. When the rain comes, she'll be ready!

Grown-ups will chuckle at Kalila's familiar obsession with a new favorite possession, while Kashi Grobe's sweet story will encourage young readers to be unapologetically themselves. Warm, joyful illustrations from Andrea Stegmaier (One Christmas in Our Building, Time for Bed, Little Owls!) perfectly capture Kalila's sunny disposition and remind us that life is about learning to dance in the rain.
