Q: Is this magnetic? And are there any grips at the foot of the easel to keep it from sliding around?

A: The Wooden Tabletop Easel is not magnetic. There are no grips at the foot of the easel, but does not easily slide around.

A: Yes, the trays on the Wooden Tabletop Easel can be removed, but would have to be unassembled in order to do so.

Q: double sided with exact things on both sides to be suitable for twins?

A: Yes. It would work well for two children as long as the table it is placed on is narrow enough to allow them both to reach.
