Cheap - bottom of the tray is made of that chintzy cardboard faux wood. For $80 I expected much better quality.

If I’m entertaining company, I like to use it as a serving tray. On a lazy Sunday morning, I use this tray for breakfast in bed. When the tray is not in use, I like to use it as a table centerpiece. I usually decorate it with a nice vase of fresh flowers. I love the versatility of this tray. It is beautiful, durable and practical for so many different uses.

This Kate & Laurel Halsey Wood Rectangle Decorative Tray is attractive and useful for displaying in my guest room. The black color with the gold handles provides a nice contrast. My one complaint is that the screws on the back seem to be screwed in too much and not enough. Some screws are screwed in so much that it has actually damaged the wood on the bottom and other screws are left raised on the back, potentially snagging material as well as scraping a hand. On the one hand, I feel like the screws provide added stability to the product. On the other hand, I wish there was a another way for them to securely attach the bottom without these issues. Overall, I enjoy having this on display in my guest room, but I do worry about it snagging my bedding and/or scrapping a hand while grabbing it.
