Q: The old version of this chair which I LOVED had a canopy that attached to the back and arms to provide shade. This alludes to a canopy but it doesn't show a photo or say in the description.

A: Yes, this model has a canopy as well. When folded down and closed, the canopy becomes a convenient carrying bag with the arm rests becoming shoulder straps for hands-free portability.

Chairs isn't has big has they look. We bought 2 chairs and on both the bans that hold the arm rest broke on the first trip out. Chairs are very lite and easy to carry. I believe we will pass them off to one of our kids and we will get new ones for next year.

Easy to open and collapse, but not sure how comfortable it will be. I'm taking it to the beach and hope it lasts the season.
Also, it is a pack of two chairs, since the description isn't very clear if you are getting one or two.

I bought this pair of chairs with hopes that they would be what I was looking for. But the arm rests would not stay in place - they slid on to the bar with an elastic band which would not stay in place. I returned them. Quality just wasn't that great.

I first bought this chair 10 years ago and loved it for our annual beach vacations. It's almost a hammock, so when you sit it forms to your body, and then it collapses into a narrow backpack for easy carrying. Eventually it rusted so I replaced it this year. It held up great for the week, so I'm hopeful the quality is as good as the earlier version. I only gave it 4 stars since the box it arrived in was ripped open and very nearly crushed in half. I thought for sure the chairs would be damaged, but they don't seem to be.
