Kenneth Cole Hyper Violet, 3.4 oz EDP Spray for Women

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A dark fruity smell. Reminds me very much of the old discontinued Bath & Body Works scent Dark Kiss, but slightly more grown up. It’s a wonderful every day fragrance, but I think it’s better as a date night scent.

I didn't know about this brand, but I bought it by chance. I love it, and it lasts all day. I've received many compliments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon first spray, Hyper Violet came on a bit strong almost harsh enough to make me second guess if it was the right scent for me. But as it began to dry down, I was pleasantly surprised by how beautifully it transformed. The intensity mellowed into something much more wearable, with soft, warm notes that settled wonderfully on my skin. The jasmine and vanilla, in particular, really came to life, adding a delicate sweetness and creamy floral depth that I truly enjoyed. The only drawback? Longevity. The scent didn’t last as long as I hoped, and I found myself needing to reapply throughout the day to keep it noticeable. Still, the dry-down was so lovely that I’m happy to keep it in my rotation.

Normally I gravitate toward vanillas, ambers, jasmines, sandalwoods — anything warm or spicy — so the scent profile of Kenneth Cole’s Hyper Violet seemed like a pretty good match for me. Here’s how it’s described: Top notes of Tangerine Heart, Dark Red Apple — Middle notes of Plum Blossom, Jasmine Absolute Sambac, Tuberose, Orange Flower — Base notes of Sandalwood, Vanilla Bean, Patchouli, Cedarwood Heart, Amber Woods. It IS a little odd that something with “violet” in its name doesn’t actually have notes of violet, but never mind that. If you like florals, you’ll like this. For me it’s a little sharper than I prefer and I don’t really get the vanilla drydown, but my husband really liked it so I added it to my rotation. It has great staying power — plus the dark purple bottle is gorgeous!

When you first lay this down to your skin it has a rather cologne type feel of apple, which gradually moves away to a fruity but mostly floral undertone while keeping that neutral cologne vibe towards the back. After leaving it sit for a few hours it calms down to a vanilla scent that is relaxing and comforting. Though I received this complimentary to try, I feel that for the size of the bottle (3.4 fl oz), the price is on par. Quality is there and the bottle itself is very thick and durable. I do not feel scared to ting this on my counter or otherwise. The bottle cap stays on well too in case you'd like to throw this in your purse! It is small enough to travel with, but big enough to feel you've got your products worth. The undertones of this lovely perfume are red apple, jasmine absolute sambac, and vanilla bean. 💜

This wonderful fragrance is short lived...only offering 2-4 hours wear time. The atomizer is great... giving the wearer a big burst of fragrance. Having owned a scent nearly identical for a couple years, im confident in saying that this is the doppelganger for Prada Paradoxe to my nose. The only thing that would make this better is longevity.

It's a nice scent, but it doesn't strike me as particularly complex nor unique. Lasts a few hours on skin with decent projection to start, but ultimately mellows into a closer-to-you scent.
