Kevin's Stir-Fry Rice Gluten Free - 16oz

Do not buy! Horrible texture and so bland. Took one bite and it tasted like dog food. Do yourself a favor and save your money!

Was on the fence when I first saw this, as rice is a difficult food to get cooked perfectly. However, I like this brands other foods and decided to give it a try. And WOW. Did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly in the microwave and has great flavor. Even my picky kids like it.

This stuff tastes awful. Do not buy!!!

i love every kevin’s meal, but unfortunately this one did not pass the test. very strong sunflower taste to it. nothing like fried rice. hard pass every time with this specific meal.

As someone with a lot of food allergies I love Kevin’s meals usually but this was seriously so gross. Mealy, watery, overly-gingered with no other real flavor. The texture is just…blech. I can’t afford to waste food or I wouldn’t thrown it out but genuinely, I disliked every bite. It was awful. Don’t waste your money.

Inedible. Tried to add some soy sauce to see if it was just me or the rice. It was the rice. It tasted like nothing, no real seasonings in this, it sucks because their items have truly been hit or miss lately. I totally understand why it was on sale. Wish I could get my money back.

Absolutely horrible product. The food that comes in the bag looks nothing like their marketing label. Product was absolutely mush and tasteless. Had a couple bites and gave the rest to my dogs. This is the third product I've gotten from Kevin's and it will be the last.

Rice is mushy and has no flavor. It was gross and no one could finish their rice.

I was trying to find a decent premade fried rice that was gluten free as it's nearly impossible to find an Asian restaurant that uses gluten free soy sauce. Based on the package I was slightly hopeful that this would be tolerable but this was the most disappointing fried rice I've ever had. There was zero flavor at all which I was thankfully able to fix as I had travel containers with coconut aminos, salt, and MSG in them. With even just a small amount of each added it tasted so much better, not sure why none of these ingredients were used when they're fairly healthy and you don't need a lot to make a big impact. But the worst part was the texture, as it was mushy even though I cooked it for the full three minutes. And there was way too much oil in the package, I know that you need it to heat up and cook everything but there was still a lot left over compared to the fried rice I've made or what I get from Chinese restaurants. Save yourself the disappointment and forgo this fried rice while travelling and learn how to make it yourself if you can't have gluten. Probably won't bother with other products from Kevin's if this is the type of quality you can expect.

Well, if someone showed someone from the Midwest a picture of fried rice and said make this, here it is. It's more like chicken and rice without the chicken. It might have a less mushy texture if it was heated in a skillet with some soy sauce added. I'm starving right now so something quick at the end of a long, it's not too bad.

This rice is mushy, bad smelling and foul tasting. Stir fry is not meant to be soft and gummy! Don't buy this. It is not stir fry.

This was awful. Kevin’s stuff is hit or miss and this was a big miss. Gloppy and tasted gross. I barely choked down a few bites

Disgusting. Looked like slop and had an overwhelming ginger smell that nearly singed my nostril hairs off. Had I not thrown this into the trash with the speed of a Paul Skenes fastball, surely I would’ve vomited profusely. I’m not sure I’ll give Kevin another chance.

Nothing like fried rice - gloppy and weird curry flavor

I wanted to like this but it was terrible. It went straight to the trash. I love Kevin’s but this one isn’t it. 2 stars for *cleaner* ingredients.

For the price and the brand- I expected more. Rice was pretty flavorless. We ended up just mixing the cilantro lime chicken directly with it for more flavor, instead of on the side. Honestly, plain white rice somehow has more flavor. This dish is fine, but six bucks for that size and flavor is silly.
