I’ve been using this face wash for a very long time. The new “invigorating” formula is not at all the same. I’m honestly happy it takes me twice as much to wash my face because that means I’ll be able to move to a different brand sooner. That you could completely change a product and still advertise it as the same thing is absolutely unconscionable. The new formula does not lather and leaves a weird film on my face. Buyer beware.

Received my delivery FF face wash after I finished my last 3 bottles I bought together. Glad had those 3 1 liter bottles stocked up as this new formula is really low quality and not at all the same as before. Very thin liquid and no lather. Will not buy it again. Kiehl’s team, as lot of consumers have pointed it out, please fix the formula of this product.

The new formula is just bad. The foaming action is down but more importantly the “fuel” is completely nonexistent. It feels like a very cheap product you’d get at a 2-star hotel. This is heartbreaking as Facial Fuel has been the most consistent part of my regimen for years. Although I can walk into any drug store and find something that works better than the current formula, I’ll never find anything that worked as well as this used to. Side Note: There should be some rule where if you change the formula the reviews reset and start all over.

I've used the Energizing Face Wash for almost 10 years....the new formula is disappointing. The original formula felt like a luxury product. This new formula product is watered down and feels super cheap. It lacks the "energizing" component and feels like washing your face wtih a basic bar of soap. I would not buy this again and will have to look for new face wash for the first time in a decade. Im bummed. Like other customers, I noted that the label has changed as well. This seems like Khiels is aware that their new formula stinks compared to the old.

However, my latest purchase seems to be more diluted than previous versions. I'm finding that I need to use more of the product to achieve the same results as before. *Pros:* - Still works, but not as efficiently as before - Familiar packaging and branding *Cons:* - Appears to be more diluted than previous versions - Requires more quantity to achieve same results, which may not be cost-effective

I have been using this face wash for over 20 years and loved it. Received a new bottle a couple of months ago and tried it and was very pleased underwhelmed. The smell was different, there is no foaming and you have to use double the amount of product and you still don’t feel clean. I will never buy this product again!

Buyer beware: this product has been reformulated and is not what it used to be! I've been using this face wash for nearly 20 years but a recent change in formula absolutely ruined it for me. This face wash no longer lathers the way it used to and now it seems like I need to use more of the product to get the same effect. Worse than that, the energizing scent is gone and this face wash now smells like bathroom cleaning chemicals (seriously; it's disgusting). Finally, the face wash is no longer energizing or invigorating. My face used to feel tingly and fresh with the old formula. Now, not at all. I'm so disappointed that a product I've been loyal to for so long is now letting me down. Time to find a new face wash because I won't be buying this again.

Secretly changed the formula with no indication that was updated. And the new formula is awful. I’ll be returning this after a decade of being a happy customer and need to find a new face wash.

Used to buy this product for years for the family. Ran out and bought a larger bottle and the lather is no longer there it just isnt the same as before. Debating if I should give it a shot with a smaller botte to see if formula is different but if I get the same results then its no longer a good purchase.

In regards to the formula, we took away Sulfates, EDTA, and Acrylates. You may notice less of a lather and a reduced thickness in texture, but these were worth the swap because it’s better for the environment and it’s gentler on the skin! I have been purchasing and using this product for several year. The product I received during this recent purchase had a far different quality than the one I used to have before. Consistency was not absolutely the same, and smell was a bit different. I don't know the reason behind this-was it related that this one was a very old product made a few years ago and has been passed its expiration date of something else. Fairly disappointed. I threw it away, was sorry that it may have negative effect on my skin. Very very disappointed.
