This energizing face wash is energizing. I apply it to a silicone scrubber and get energized. Amazing.

Excellent nondrying lightly scented daily face wash product. I also use it in the shower to wash my face. My face feels invigorated after each wash.

I have been purchasing and using this product for several year. The product I received during this recent purchase had a far different quality than the one I used to have before. Consistency was not absolutely the same, and smell was a bit different. I don't know the reason behind this-was it related that this one was a very old product made a few years ago and has been passed its expiration date of something else. Fairly disappointed. I threw it away, was sorry that it may have negative effect on my skin. Very very disappointed.

The last 2 bottles I bought was a lil bit watery it wasn’t thick like the past 5 years of buying this product I hope they can make it right.

I really like this stuff; smell, texture, and lather are all great. Consistent use doesn’t seem to improve skin quality or appearance, which is why there 4 stars here instead of 5. Better than most daily face wash products, though - recommend!

Good product but not the lasting feeling after use as received from the facial fuel daily moisturizing treatment.

The new formula is not as rich, it takes two pumps to get the same foam generated by one pump with the old formula. Why the change? It was perfect before

The face wash itself is amazing but this is the third time I’ve bought the travel size for work and every single flight the bottle leaks due to pressure changes and my toiletry kit gets soaked in soap.

Product has clearly changed since my last purchase. It's now thin and watered down. Did you think we wouldn't notice? Have religiously bought the jumbo container whenever I needed more. No more, done.

Been using the Facial Fuel "Energizing" face wash for years and loved it. I got a new bottle of the Facial Fuel now rebranded as "Invigorating" and it is watery, light on cleansing ,and overall lacks the characteristics that people loved about the original formula. I have a feeling this is some sort of "shrinkflation" effort to get a higher ROI. I went from loving this product for over 5 years to hating it and wanting to look elsewhere for my facecare.

I left a pretty bad review on the new formula when it first came out. Since then, I was able to try out and compare the new and old formulas - and guess what, I am starting to like the new formula! Yes, it does take an extra pump, but the thinner texture is easier to lather. More importantly, I find the new formula easier to rinse off, which is super critical for my sensitive skin to stay pimple free. I urge everyone to give this a try. It may not be as great as the old formula, but it is still way better than anything out there IMHO.

New formula is terrible. Why the change? Wish I never purchased 2 big bottles. This is from a long time fan:( So disappointed.

I had gotten this face wash pump sometime back and started using it a week ago as the old 1 liter pump ran out. Boy was I disappointed with the new one! I had to use 4 to 5 pumps compared to 1 or two for the old one. I have been using this exact face wash for countless years and not only do I have to use more for the new face wash, the smell of the new face wash is just different and not in a good way. Almost plastic kind of smell. Your new version is just not good, please bring back the old formula otherwise I am going to leave Kiehl forever!

I've been using Kiehl's for 12 years. In fact I started using Kiehl's by trying the Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash and loved it. The bottle lasted forever, had a tingling feeling, a great menthol smell, and my face felt clean and it it rinsed off completely with no residue feeling. It was great! I tried some other items a few months ago and when those were finished order another bottle of the Facial Fuel Wash last month. As soon as I put it up my face I was like why does it smell like this? It smelled more like citrust to me than menthol. There was no tingling sensation, it didn't seem to foam as much, and when I rinsed it off it didn't have that my face is thoroughly clean feeling. Like it didn't fully come off my face. I used some other face washes for a few days and then when I went to use the Kiehl's again I shook the bottle thinking maybe the contents settled or something and it would smell normal again when I put it on my face. Nope... Same as the first time... I was actually going to call Kiehl's and say I got a dilluted bottle or something was wrong with the batch the one I got came from and ask to have it replaced. I decided to check here to see if others had the same issue and here we are with everyone else complaining too. I had no idea the formula changed until I read all the current reviews. I agree with everyone else who is complaining about the new formula. It's not the same as what we all loved and bought it for and the new formula is a downgrade. I can appreciate wanting to make it more "natural" but I didn't have an issue with the way it was before and felt it was an excellent face wash. Now I'm like meh about it. I also wish it was advertised as like "new formula" something but instead it seems like it was a stealth change that very few of us are like "surprise, yay!" about... I guess it's pointless to call and ask to replace this bottle with another one. I encourage Kiehl's to go back to formula they used before. i will not be buying another bottle of this again because it's no longer the product I've loved for over ten years which is unfortunate. I also order two more tubes of Facial Fuel Daily Energizing Moisture Treatment for Men a few months ago which I haven't opened yet because I'm still finishing my last tube. I really hope I don't finish the tube and then open one of the new ones and have it now smell like "new" Facial Fuel No Energy Face Wash. :(

My wife bought me Kiel’s energizing face wash and moisturizer 5 years ago and now I can’t live without it! It’s has a refreshing feel while not drying my skin out. I feel cleansed. The moisturizer feels light and not heavy. It is just enough to make my skin feel like it’s soft and smooth.

this product is not a good face wash. It is extremely watery, provide limited foam, and leaves your face feeling unclean. It's as if they forgot to put in the thickening agent. As your washing your face it's like you're rubbing water on your face. I'm so annoyed that I bought such a lager container.

Kiehl’s totally whiffed with this one. The old formula of facial fuel was great - felt luxurious from the viscosity, to the lather, to the scent to that menthol-like feeling after you wash it off. All of this has changed with this new formula, it shares very little with its prior iteration. It feels quite basic, I feel like you can find an equivalent face wash at a much lower price point. Historically, I’ve ordered the 1L bottle because of how consistent it has been for me over the years but now I feel stuck with this massive bottle of a dud for face wash. Guess I’ll be a free agent in the face wash game once I finish it up.
