Great for kids to talk out themselves
I actually love this book. I love that there are short sentences on the pages. We offered our toddler the chance to look at the pictures and talk about what going on in them. He was able to talk out each scenario with us and we all loved it. We also loved the illustrations and characters!

You have different races, children with disabilities, different food types, etc. The author doesn’t try to make anything in particular stand out. Everything feels homogeneous and positive. I bought this book as a Christmas gift for my best friends kid’s. It was one of a couple of books. The illustrations are colorful and approachable for children. The book teaches children to be empathetic and thoughtful. Not for kids with food allergies
I was so incredibly sad when I got to the page about sharing snacks. As a mom of a child with multiple life-threatening food allergies, sharing snacks is something that is a huge danger to his life. Especially as a young child that doesn't fully understand his allergies yet. Really disappointed about that, the rest of the book is lovely.
