    I purchased the compressed chalk. Lovely texture, doesn't crumble, beautiful vibrant colors. I plan on purchasing a second set - I'm that pleased. The 'gift' was a sweet surprise. Such a warm way to make a business transaction more personal. I feel valued as a customer. Thank you! I didn't know how much it was needed. :-)

    A lot of colours, oddly inconsistent application.

    Unfortunately, I had gotten this larger set while it was on sale to try out chalk pastels. Some sticks rubbed on smooth, others well... They were very chalky and dry. It's possibly a learning curve as with new mediums but not entirely what I expected. For $20, I'm not sure I would reccommend it. Though right now I'd gotten it for $7, so I suppose I got what I paid for?
