Description
Premier NuPastels by Prismacolor provide superior blending and shading with the strength of a hard pastel stick. NuPastels are perfect for delicate shadows and crisp-edged detailing. These stronger sticks with smooth sides reduce breakage and require less clean-up than softer pastels. Experiment with these versatile pastels both wet and dry for a variety of effects. Assorted sets are packaged in a flat box with lift out trays. Each color is arranged in artist's sequence ready for easy selection. Premier Nupastel are available in sets of 12, 24, 36, and 96.

Once you get the technique down on how to use these, you can easily get these to blend beautifully as long as you are using the right amount of pressure. Press too hard and it makes it harder to blend. Also these can be used with water but I have not done this so I can not speak to the effect. I like to use these in combination with colored pencil and really helps speed along the process. I highly recommend these as they are very reliable.

I hardly give 5stars as there could be defects that I don’t catch right away. The pigments are decent & work well for vinyl doll face ups. When water is added it smooth & doesn’t give that chalky look. Colors blend well.
