Kingsford Signature Flavors All Natural Basil Sage Thyme Charcoal Briquettes 2 lb

Long story short, this smells and smokes like I loaded my grill with grass trimmings and lawn debris. I would never put a piece of meat on using this for fuel.

The flavor It put off onto the meat was really good. Almost like having a smoker but with using charcoal instead of wood pellets.

I was excited to see these flavor boosters and we tried them out on some chicken and steak. The flavors the boosters gave was amazing. They really added that extra touch of flavor that made them so yummy. I preferred the chicken and my kids loved it on the steak.

I have used chicken breast and steaks with these flavor boosters. The best part of the whole process is the aroma that just calls you to where your pit might be. It smelled nice as I was cooking, and I could taste the flavor in the steak. I would have never thought to put flavor in these.

From the first time I used the Thyme briquettes it was like magical flavor had taken over my grill. This particular day we had pork chops and potatoes in grill. Next time we are trying turkey and ears of corn. Directions are easy to understand and do. Bag is kind of messy but worth the flavor in the end.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so impressed with this charcoal. The charcoal is easy to light and burns down fairly quickly, without too much smoke or smell. I used it twice - once with marinated chicken, and the second with just seasoned chicken, so that I’d be able to compare the difference. The herbs in this charcoal didn’t overwhelm or compete with the marinade, they really blended well. But with the plain chicken - the basil and sage really came through, and were a nice complement to the smoky BBQ flavor we all love in charcoal. This makes any meal taste like better, and I have since gone out to buy other varieties. Highly recommend!

It is quick to come to heat - roughly 15 minutes. I like the fact that it’s on the cheaper side than smoking wood, that’s a huge plus considering inflation.
