[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this expresso machine one mouth ago. The water doesn't get as hot as it should be. I make two double shots each morning. The first double shot the water is still on top of the grounds. I make the next double shot it has even a little more water on top of the grounds than the first and the puck, since we had this machine, I have to scoop out with a spoon. Never have I been able to pop the puck it out.

It took me about 30-minutes to set-up and figure out how it works, it’s super intuitive and fast to brew! Overall, the espresso tastes smooth and delicious. A few tips: tastes way better with fresh beans and a grinder. Milk frother works but is a little messy and hard to clean; I’ve found frothing milk on the side in my own frother works better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] KitchenAid truly lives up to their name. I am truly over the moon for this espresso machine! It has surpassed all my expectations and needs! Making coffee at home has never been so satisfying. First off, the design is so simple and elegant. I love how easy it is to wipe clean before and after brewing an espresso. The initial setup was pretty simple and the instructions are seemingly straightforward. After a few minutes of reading the instructions, I was ready to began filling up my water reservoir (includes a handle) which was a bonus in my book. Next, I found my desired filter basket. (Refer to pg. 6 in manual) for basket selection chart. I used the single wall (2 shot) for my latte of choice. After following the rest of the instructions I was ready to brew. Positioning the portafilter is very easy but make sure to align it correctly with the unlock/lock mechanism. The entire brewing process only took about 30 seconds. The temperature was perfect and the taste was even better! This semi-automatic espresso machine is made remarkably well. It’s durable and has all the features I was looking for in an espresso maker. Overall, I’m very pleased with the craftsmanship of this machine and the overall design. It’s been fun recreating my favorite lattes at home! Reminder: when cleaning the milk frother make sure to point it towards the drip tray or into an empty cup. Otherwise, it will spray hot water everywhere!

It also comes with a milk steamer. You can purchase additional KitchenAid attachments like a milk frother or grinder to make fresh ground coffee to take it to the next level. The machine is very durable and heavy. Great quality. The stainless steel machine looks absolutely amazing in the kitchen. It is very sleek and simple. The coffee mashine heats up fast and the milk steamer heats up the milk really hot. The coffee maker will save you a lot of money and it is convenient because you don't have to leave your house to get high quality coffee.

Whether you prefer espresso straight, macchiatos, americanos, or lattes; this machine has you covered. Easy to clean with little effort required when wiping down the unit. Plus it has a built in float for when the drip tray becomes too full. Durability doesn’t appear to be a concern at this point in time, but only used it for about 2 weeks so far. Its sleek and modern metal design is the perfect accessory for any stylish office. After reviewing very simple, and easy to follow directions, I was able to brew coffee instantly. I am well experienced with many different types of espresso machines and I am pleased to report that this espresso machine is one of the very good ones. It features an easy to clean body (a must for an office), beautifully designed exterior, simple prompts for brewing, and everything you need to get started including: a milk pitcher, scoop, and solid tampering piece. The footprint of this machine is very small compared to its impressive capability. I use pre-ground coffee for this machine to keep things contained and avoid the use of a coffee grinder cluttering up the office space. This machine produces a cup of Joe that puts many coffee shops to shame. Utilizing the four different filters allows for easy customization. The crema produced is smooth and the perfect intensity. The steaming wand enables you to make lattes or cappuccinos. For a newbie, the steaming wand can take practice, but due to my previous experience with other machines, I was able to froth milk effortlessly. If you’re in the market for a stylish, easy to clean, simple to use machine that produces great coffee, you don’t need to look any further than the Kitchenaid semiautomatic espresso machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid Semi-Automatic espresso machine is a small but efficient espresso maker with some caveats. For the price point, it packs in a lot of features, single/double shots, hot water, and a steamer for making the perfect latte or cappuccino. The unit comes with single and double walled baskets (single for freshly grounded beans and double for pre-grounded espresso), a tamper, and pitcher for steaming. Setting up a machine so small would seem simple, but you first have to prime the unit by injecting water into pump and running a hot water cycle. However, it omits the step of inserting the steam wand which is required to run the hot water cycle. After some trial and error, I was able to get the machine primed and ready for the first shot of espresso. For the first run, I used pre-grounded espresso coupled with the double walled basket. After filling the basket and tamping the grounds, you simply insert the 58mm portafilter and run a single or double shot cycle. The machine heats up quickly, but I found the temperature of the espresso to not be quite hot enough. Next up was the steam wand. It produces a solid stream of steam and quickly heats up milk with a nice froth. The negative of using the steam wand is that the drip tray quickly fills up. After two lattes, it's more than ready to be emptied, requiring a clean up after a couple of coffees. Overall, the espresso made with this unit is good especially for its size and price point, but it has some room for improvement due to the water temperature issues and small drip tray. That said, it is a great option for those getting their feet wet with making espresso or have kitchen space limitations. I did receive this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

This is perfect for shared use to make a classic brew! I have primarily been using it to make morning lattes and it is perfect. 4 stars because I would say it makes very good quality espresso but not amazing espresso. As an avid coffee drinker I would say this machine is a great staple for daily shared household use!!
