After using the spoon only a couple times, I was making some pasta and a chunk of the spoon came off the tip. I didn’t notice right away but then I noticed a couple things floating around, realized it was wood from the spoon, and tried to find them all so we didn’t eat any.

This wooden spoon is your average wooden spoon. It does the job, (and prevents pots from overboiling!) but there’s nothing extraordinary about it from what I can tell. Washed well and had no odor or residue left.
I've been trying to get away from using plastic or coated plastic kitchen utensils, so this has been great for me. No issues so far. Easy to clean and replaced my plastic coated spoon that I had for a while
It's a nice, sturdy, but HUGE spoon. The wood is smooth, it is easy to clean, and safe for nonstick cookware. However, my experience is that over time a wooden spoon splinters, so I'm sticking to hand-washing this
