This wooden spatula has garnered mixed feedback from guests, highlighting its attractive design and sturdy build. Many appreciate its functionality for various cooking tasks, especially for sautéing vegetables and flipping thicker items. However, concerns about its thickness affecting delicate flipping and reports of unpleasant odors have been noted. Overall, it serves as a stylish and practical addition to kitchen tools, though some guests recommend caution regarding its maintenance and care.

I adore the Figmint brand. Everything especially these wooden utensils are great quality and you can’t beat the price. This spatula is great for my ceramic coated Figmint pans.

Finish chips/flakes off
The finish on the utensil comes off while using it when cooking. Which means those chemicals and that finish product is in my food and we are eating it. I was super disappointed in this product. I got both the spoon and the spatula and both were chipping the finish off.

Harmful Chemicals
All Figmint wooden utensils contrail the harmful chemicals Toluene, Xylene, and Ethyl. Do not buy. Pioneer Woman's wooden utensil collection is a good alternative.

Just the turner I was looking for
Was looking for a reasonably priced wooden turner since I've stopped using plastic (including the black kind) and metal cooking utensils. This seems very well made. Compares to more expesive brands I've looked at.

Chemicals
Don't buy this. It has some kind of prop 65 chemical sprayed all over it. I don't know why they couldn't just leave the wood as is. Had to throw it in the trash.

CONTAINS TOXIC CHEMICALS!
The label says “This product contains: Toulene, Xylenes, Ethyl Acetate.” Thank God I happened to read it after I bought it! Target SHOULD NOT be selling this! Returning it ASAP

Terrible, bad chemicals
I have cooked with this spatula 3 times, and the coating is coming off. After purchase, I also discovered it is coated in toxic chemicals. This is terrible quality!

Toxic
Like many of the reviews before me, I purchased this in store without reading the fine print. There are toxic chemicals used in this product. I will be returning. Target should be ashamed for selling this.

Holding up nicely!
Absolutely love this turner. Was so tired of the plastic ones flaking off in my food and being hard to clean. This works nicely and is easy to clean. Very happy!

Wood coating tastes like insects
This gave an awful taste to food. I'm not sure what coating they use on it, but it reminded me of insects, grossed me out. Maybe it would have dissipated with use, but after about the fifth time cooking with it, I couldn't take it anymore and ended up throwing it away.

Harmful toxins!
I THOUGHT this was good until I went on the hunt for a non-toxic cutting board on target.com and kept seeing this area at the bottom about a chemical xylene so after looking into it i see it’s toxic. So I check this spatula I got a few weeks ago and it had even worse chemicals!! Read the images in my review. This should be banned. So sad most of us don’t even check these things and continue cooking with these utensils. Shame on you target for even selling this.

Unbreakable
I broken a plastic spatula while cooking and my hand went in the pan and got first degree burns. That won't be happening with this bad boy. I recommend washing by hand and applying oil afterwards like you would with a cast iron skillet.
