Knob Creek Single Barrel Whiskey - 750ml Bottle

I got a chance to try Knob Creek Single Barrel recently, and it lives up to its reputation if you like big, full-flavored bourbon. The proof (120) shows right away, but it’s not just heat — there’s depth. On the nose I smell vanilla, oak, caramel, and a touch of leather or smoke. When you take a sip, there are strong notes of brown sugar, maple syrup, dark fruit, and lots of oak char. The mouthfeel is thick and somewhat syrupy, and though it burns a bit (thanks to the proof), it warms nicely and the flavors hold up. The finish is long, with lingering spice, oak, and a bit of dryness that makes you appreciate that extra sip. What I don’t love as much: the heat can be intense early on - might be a lot for someone newer to high-proof bourbons. Also, because it’s single barrel, you can get quite a bit of variation bottle to bottle. One moment it might be oak-heavy, the next more fruit-forward. And maybe a little less value if you’re comparing to lower proof bourbons with smoother profiles.

I really like whiskey, and this is what I usually order when I go to a bar. It's good on the rocks or straight. But goes well as a whiskey and coke too! The price for the volume is pretty decent and the bottle comes in a variety of sizes.

As an avid bourbon lover and enthusiast I am so glad to have come back to a spirit that really excels in what great bourbon can and should be. As a barrel proof hound I can say it's so easy going down.rich and delicious!

Got this as an anniversary present. Exceptional! Proof is oh so good, the taste is sweet and spicy. Absolutely a fantastic expression! I would recommend this to anybody! I am quickly becoming a huge fan of Knob Creek!

Sip or two in the evening after work. Always 120 on a sliver or two of ice....careful, never too much...ice. The flavor has always burst through. HOWEVER, the last two bottles of 120 have been extremely disappointing. (Just started the second, hoping it would be like my memory of previous bottles.) Truly, something has happened. The rich dark Caramel flavor is not coming to the top. I'm scared to try another bottle. Purchased both bottles in Kentucky 02/17/2022.

Excellent flavor profile, rich in vanilla and oak notes with a smooth robust finish with low burn for a high proof bourbon. Would recommend to anyone that is on the hunt for a unique bourbon experience.

This is a very good Single Barrel Bourbon. This is one I do not share and drink it neat. I prefer high proof bourbons.

This is a great whiskey. no bad aftertaste. I drink Bourbon, Rye, Irish and Scotch. I am not a whiskey snob. This bourbon is great and great price.

maybe I got a bad batch. But, this has a terrible aftertaste. It's almost a soured or rancid flavor. Both me and my brother-in-law (who is my bourbon drinking buddy) tasted the same bad flavor. I am not impressed. I had high hopes considering all of the good reviews.

Nice kick with the 120 proof 9 year old but with the robustness of flavor comes a perfect balance of sweet, heat, zing, and other complexity. Very worth the money and noticeably better than standard knobb creek, by at least 20 proof : )

After tasting many whiskies in the premium class, I would rate this in my top 2 of all time. the flavor in this whiskey is timeless. There is a good amount of heat, as there should be in a barrel proof.

Go-to bourbon . a little more MONEY, but not as much as others thAT It'S equal to or better than.

Ive been on a search for "MY" bourbon of choice and so far nothing compares to this. Robust flavour and an impeccable after taste. Truly incredible.

I purchased the 12 year old single barrel last summer from shawan liquors. The taste was out of this world. Smooth despite being 120 proof. I purchased 4 bottles and regreted thay I ididn't get a case. I am waiting for the delivery of the 12 13, and 14 year old bottles. Buy this if you can
