Surprisingly good
After my puppy chomped my 6yo 7" Kobo Libra H2O into oblivion, I ordered the Libra Colour as a replacement. Other reviewers leaned pretty hard into how dark the display is without the front light on or in bright sunlight, so I my expectations weren't high, but I wanted to stick with a Kobo and the 7" size. As it turns out, yes, the display IS grey in bright sunlight, but that actually makes it easier on my eyes to read. Not everyone will feel that way though. Indoors, I generally read in low light conditions, and setting the LC frontlight on at 10% to 15% is plenty to make the display background a nice warm whitish tone, and the colors are a soft pastel palette. Even better, at night in my dark bedroom, I turn darkmode on, and set the frontlight at 1% and the warmlight at 100%, and the text reading experience is perfect, just enough to enjoy a bit of reading to make me sleepy. No jarring blast of light to keep me awake. The stylus is a really good quality, smooth and snappy to use, likewise for the notebook (not the awful origami one) sleepcover. It was a snap to set up and use both Google Drive and Dropbox for OTA book and document transfers, and I sideloaded my favorite reading fonts and custom dictionaries. Otherwise, the Kobo interface and reading experience has all the features I'm used to and love. After using it for a day, I'm utterly sold on it, and am glad my puppy forced me to it :)

Dejected
I was waited for libra color once it was announce, but that wait ended up in dejection. So many cons: 1. darkest colour screen , kindle 300ppi ruined me 2. After annotation cannot keep the annotation on ebooks when exporting (they come in small boxes on PC like kindle) ,remarkable and super-note does it better where they convert epub to pdf or read it on cloud. 3. The worst stylus I have seen , gimmicky ,laggy and expensive. 4. Battery life is ok. 5.Note taking has lots of features but the small screen and a bad stylus ruins everything. Conclusion - Buy it only if you love reading color books or recipe books, where you only want to annotate and not plan on reading anywhere other than on the libra color.

A+ Device C+ case
Love the device! Hated it for the first 2 days but got used to the size quickly and am now journaling on it no problem. Only complaint is the case. Feels cheap and gets greasy easily, and doesn’t have a strong magnetic closure. I’d advise against the origami case and go for the notebook case.
